I hate frakkin BBAND converters. Heres my tip for dealing with them. Superglue the two of them together. Gold stickers facing the same direction. Ziptie them both to a lacer bar and they wont move.

Also.. if a SWM dish is on its way.. dont bother wasting your time like i did a few months ago. Had my rack looking sexy and the DirecTV guy tells me i only need 1 cable and no BBAND's. Had to rerun the RG6 because they were not long enough with out the converters.

Seriously quit opening yourself up. if your going to charge for your "tips" start looking for a second job. All sat boxes in our installs are located in the rack and come off a multiswitch very cleanly. We take the time to relocate the b band converters to the multiswitch as to not have them cluttering or screwing up the liik of our rack.

if you werent such a chump, you would be using SWM-8 and no BBC's. i dont do a job without one unless there is less than 4 tuners.

you homerun every coax in the house back to the dish?
i homerun every cable in the house back to a central location where a panel or rack will be. i also run the wires from the dish to this location. i use barrels to connect up to four satellite tuners directly to the four sat feeds, if there are more than 4 tuners i put a multiswitch in. take notes now, after this i will charge for tips.

No. I run sat wiring to the rack and dmark wiring to the structure panel. My clients don't have basic cable or sat boxes in the rooms. That's tacky

Anything is possible. I swear theres 3 factories in China making every piece of electronics in the world. I think Philips builds their own gear but who knows. UEI is manufacturer and definitely not the middle man for anyone.

yeah, thats right behind the rack and then using pw cable as coax to the dvrs/ the pw cables are rated for dtv. we called them. no more 10 or so rg6 quad going to the rack.
