Has anyone heard anymore about this product? Is it going to AVAD? The local Crestron rep told me to get back to him after Aug. 1st, but is now on vacation.

I was in @v*d today and asked, my rep laughed and said never in a million years.

However I heard "Coughing" in the next room; the dude was coughing "lifeware isnt going to be here much longer and may be replaced by c4"
Somehow i feel this is a crock of Sh!t except for the fact they may be doing away with lifeware, that i actually do believe lol

I dont want to start any rumors.

I totally believe Lifeware is going away, but not sure I believe C4 is going to replace it. Maybe they will be content with RTI.

My understanding is that RTI is testing the waters in other distributors than only A@!D. They recently went to a distributor to try to get better exposure in our market. I hope Lifeware is dead. Windows based = Disaster. I wonder how exisitng Lifeware customers will be able to co-exist with Windows 6 (6?).

Yes, their products are available at more than a few distributors now:

So, now that C4 is going to commit suicide by going into BB, this looks like an even better choice.

OK so I was looking at this stuff and an MNETGW for Prodigy retails for $125. THe same exact physical piece of hardware retails for $450. This is admitedly the same identical piece of hardware. The MLX2 retails for less than $200 on the prodigy side and $700 on the crestron side. THE SAME OEM PIECE of gear. Who can help me justify this....

There was some mention of Crestron subsidising the product to bring prices down.

I wonder if you can use the P-MNETGW from Prodigy in a Crestron system. I know most other things you can't (without a workaround), but they seem to be exactly the same. I'm guessing, however, that they've probably tweaked the firmware so that this is not possible. :(
