Petrol here in Melbourne is equivalent to about $6.00 a gallon give or take a few cents. If it's equivalent to anything under about $5.00 it's considered cheap.
I say equivalent as we buy in liters and i'm converting.

Saw prices changed on LED signage while waiting on traffic lights. From $1.58 to $1.42. Then I am having a thought of a gallon of gasoline is waaaaay cheaper than a 16oz bottle of drinking water

Well....unless you live in parts of Michigan or Mexico (from what I hear). I see people buying the uber expensive bottled water at events....concerts, ball games, the theater, etc. where they can charge up to $5 for a 16 OZ. bottle. Then there is a drinking fountain RIGHT THERE! Maybe it is time to move the oil racket under the Public Utility business model. My electricity, natural gas, and water costs do not fluctuate like oil. :)

Imagine that. A company that sells water filtration products telling you that you will be better off buying their products than not.
And FYI, I am not into the whole pubic fountain thing either. If that is your thing, more power to you. Not in my house. :)

Personally, I do not like the taste of tap water. I drink the filtered water from our fridge, via a PUR filter or bottled water. We usually buy 24 packs. I mostly drink the bottled stuff at work. Will bring a few with me in a cooler everyday.

I really don't understand you guys.
Bottle of water is safe and worth $ ?
Nature's Place Spring Water 24pk (0.5 liter bottles)
06/22/2015 Reason for Recall The product with the identified code dates was bottled without adequate treatment and has the potential to be contaminated with E coli. The product was shipped to select Food Lion stores. Customers who purchased the affected product should not consume the product and may return it to their local Food Lion store for a full refund.
So, the companies use TAP water, run it through some filters (maybe), and call it PURE?

Chicago tap water tastes pretty good. An hour north where i live now has well water that tastes chalky and leaves water spots on everything.

Living up in the Rockies I drink tap water every day. I drink at least 32oz a day and try to drink more.
