Bump from page 3...

Video from TV art lift installation completed last week. Original install was done around 8 years ago. I tore it all out for upgrades and replaced TV, AVR, control system and built a false wall behind the TV because the new one is a little smaller.

Here's a few pictures of the false wall construction. It's 1"x2" frame covered with 1/2" black acoustic panel from Unika Vaev. Don't laugh at the Linksys router... I've been slowly doing upgrades at this property over the last year or so whenever I have time.

Fess up,
Who mounted the wall plate at the wrong height first time?

LOL

My guess is he had to move it down slightly to accommodate the new TV. That would be the story i stuck to anyway :).

Mac wins the prize... I had to pull the mount and lower it to accommodate a new TV.  I'm not sure how many people have worked on this property before me (it's under new ownership), but all the TVs I've removed and replaced had multiple holes behind them.

Don't know if the original installer couldn't measure, had to move things around or maybe this is already the third round of TVs?

It's an access point (not router) so no additional Ethernet ports on it.  It's just there to provide wifi in the Living room which is 45' x 37'.  I haven't addressed any of the networking yet because it's actually working well enough that the homeowner hasn't complained about it.  My guess is that it was installed when the house was built 6-8 years ago.

Looks great. I love the chrome just around the edge. When you are driving down the road it looks like the center is hollow.

I sold my lincoln. I would like to get an 84 T-Type Riviera next.

That's crazy. I did own an 83 riv t-type. I had it bumped up a little that it would beat new silverados at the time. The drivers side motor mount broke from the torque

Grand Nationals are one of those cars that car guys drool over while non car people think it looks like a grandma's car. That right there, though, is one sexy beast!!!

My wife had the Mark IV, as a company car years ago. That think floated!!!! I could have lived inside of it.
