Watched the Blue Angels practice. Amazing machines! It is for sure! Had a friend that back in the day his mom had a condo right off the end of the runways at El Toro Marine Base. We would drag a cooler and other "supplies" up on his roof and get blown away. Great times.

Amazing engineering.Amazing pilots. I was watching on a hill where they'd fly over at 150 feet. To watch those things go straight up beyond the speed of sound with their afternurners kicking in...is AMAZING!!!
Goosebumps!!!

I think I may go to the pool today. Matt, you owe us a story over at IP, or did you already forgot. Or perhaps you posted it and I missed it.

Wow, quality production. Did you use a Steadicam? Thank you. No steadicam, but I built a rolling camera dolly/slider that was used for the motion shots.

We did a 13 mile hike to the peak of Notch Mountain, just north of 13,000' above sea level. Time to recover, my legs are sore... lol

I did San Gorgonio a few years ago and I was in so much pain up there I didn't enjoy it. I looked around, signed the book and left everybody else up there. With every foot in altitude decrease I felt better. Was fine by the time I got to half way camp.

With every foot in altitude decrease I felt better. Was fine by the time I got to half way camp. I was getting dizzy at about 12, 500', the last leg was pretty brutal. Once at the top with some rest and some food I felt much better. I also live at 8k' above sea level so the extreme was not as much as for others. 14k' is our next goal, we have a 15 mile hike that only goes to about 11k' next weekend.

That's a long hike, nobody ever questioned you walking down 395? Much further than I could walk... 330 miles from my door to the city of Mammoth. I also never got a speeding ticket on that drive, most of my friends have though. Ever see the 395 speeding ticket shirt?

Haven't seen the shirt but did have a near death incident that would have been a head on collision, my fault, if it were not for a very cool, calm, and collected buddy in the back seat saying in a very calm voice,"Mike could you please get back in you lane". I looked up from fiddling with the ghetto blaster between the front seats in time to see I was heading right at a Ford LTD wagon full of people. He ended up with his right side wheels off the pavement to avoid me, I cranked the wheel back into my lane and I swear to god the door mirrors missed each other by less than a half inch. I still break out into a sweat thinking about that moment. We were both doing at least 70MPH. That's what I did THAT day! One of my favorite places on earth. Any one who has ever been here instantly recognizes this place. Looks like you can still see the squirrel and the star in the rocks.

What did I do today? I did a 100 foot run 8 cat6 in a drop ceiling by myself, it sucked but I enjoyed it. It beat the shit out of 20 or 30 screaming pissed off clients a day in my previous life.
What I did do that really sucked is I wore running shoes as I had a quick and easy job first thing this morning that I thought was it and this was sprung on me last minute.
Up and down the ladder for a few hours and standing on the ladder to terminate the panel.
MY FREEKING FEET ARE KILLING ME!
Which is leading to what are you drinking tonight.
