What did I do today?

I did a 100 foot run 8 cat6 in a drop ceiling by myself, it sucked but I enjoyed it.
It beat the shit out of 20 or 30 screaming pissed off clients a day in my previous life.

What I did do that really sucked is I wore running shoes as I had a quick and easy job first thing this morning that I thought was it and this was sprung on me last minute.

Up and down the ladder for a few hours and standing on the ladder to terminate the panel.

MY FREEKING FEET ARE KILLING ME!

Which is leading to what are you drinking tonight.

I hear you man, just took, 5 advil myself

They are amazing machines and pilots.
Bruce, are you sure you're hearing sonic boom?

Either way, it's an awesome experience.

Naw they would kick in the afterburners for their vertical climbs and to accelerate in the long stretches.

They were flying over the hrydoplane race course on Lake Washington... it's all residential, plus the sonic booms might piss off Bill Gates, Paul Allen & Jeff Bezos who all live within a stones throw from the race course!!!

Lose dirt, gravel road and my bikes aparently do not mix. I wiped out coming to a stop. My helmet and my gloves are the reason why I'm not bleeding from either one of those two places. The broken ankle would have happened regardless. Now I'm just waiting to be put back together.

Sounds like adventurous ride. I have had a few broken bones in my past, not fun.

Doctors though that with the amount of damage and flapping skin, I should be in more pain than I was.
They insisted on a shot of motphene.

40 minutes later I still don't feel any different. I guess I'm just weird

Were you actually not in pain or were you in shock?  I've seen people try and walk away from crazy serious disaster b/c they were in shock.

Hope you have a speedy recovery and have someone that can take care of some of your more labor intensive work..

Don't worry about a passport and just go on that trip down south of NM.

Spent yesterday fixing little issues at a beautiful house that had an awful system installed many years ago. Whomever he had servicing just kept adding to the massacre.

After spending the entire day there, I got two calls from my fiancée while I was saying my goodbyes to the client. She left me a voice mail that essentially said "call me back I think I have to go to the hospital". I called her and she was in severe pain on her side.

Traffic around here is horrendous and it takes over an hour to go 10 miles so I told her I will get there as soon as I can but if it's that bad to call an ambulance. She was really scared. So she called and they came and took her to the hospital. I went and met her there. She was writhing all over in pain. Hospitals take a while so she was in pain for a while. The doctor finally came and gave her some meds that did not help. He quickly upped that to morphine. Well, she has found a new friend. She is quite fond of that stuff. It took her pain away and it was great to see her finally relax.

After more questions, lab test on urine, and a CT Scan to confirm, Kidney stone. This was actually a huge relief because the pain started sudden while she was driving home from work. The fear was that it was either her appendix which is the reason I said to call the ambulance, you don't want to mess around with that, or a ovarian cyst bursting. Her family has history of this and she has had that before. So the stone, while excruciatingly painful is a better outcome than those two scenarios.

She was discharged around 11:30 with a couple scripts. We went to fill those at a local 24 hour pharmacy and then came home. She passed the stone after we got home. She is sore but resting.

That sucks man. I've known several people that have had stones. Not a fun sight to watch people in that much pain.

Good luck to her!! At least she passed it already...

Thanks. Yeah, it sucks and nothing you can do to help. Thankfully the doctor could. She never had morphine before, but like I said, she is a fan now. She did not think meds would take the pain away. Very glad and lucky it passed that quick. Her cousin has had a couple stones and it took him a week to pass. He was not doing to well at the time. He was bent over in excuciating pain and this guy is no girly man.

I've only witnessed men who had kidney stones and same as you, they weren't girly at all. They also took well over a week to pass too.

I wonder if that's a curse to men for woman giving childbirth?
