Mario, most of the cost is labor, and it takes the same amount of time to pull 2 cables as 1 cable.
Sheldon, a neurobiologist doesn't belong on page 6.

That sucks.
If it makes you feel any better I sold a crap load of Soundcast Outcast by telling the client they are the Bose of wireless audio.
I feel dirty.

It's late and I just got back from two days in LA. Did some clean-up, repair & upgrade work for a client that I did a vacation home in Santa Barbara for about a year ago. Long days but great client's and nice amenities. Had the guest house to myself at night and excellent meals provided every day.
I never had to leave the property, so got lots of work done. Needed some equipment and supplies so the client called a courier service to pickup product at will call saving me time & hassle of picking it up myself.
I'm busy enough that I don't travel that far very often, but was enjoyable work and nice to get to know the client's better.

Mario, most of the cost is labor, and it takes the same amount of time to pull 2 cables as 1 cable. I disagree, I figure it takes at least an extra 15 minutes. Why? Because it's now two boxes of wire you have to unpack and repack, two cables that need to be documented, label printed, box marked, label applied. Two wires that need tacked up (this usually doesn't take extra time but it can if you your trunk path is getting full), if any tricking fishing around corners or anything is needed, 2 wires is definitely harder than one. Is at as much as pulling 2 wires independently, no. But its definitely more than just pulling one. Overall, our pull prices are an average of jobs where we counted number of pulls, avg length, time on site and time documenting. Some pulls were singles and some were 6-10. Sometimes if you have 4 wires adding that 5th is what screws you cuz all your holes are now full. I've been doing paperwork and reviewing contracts the last two days. Finished a small little install for a friend and some trim out on a prewired we did that may result in a small media room system install on Monday. Tomorrow will be more paperwork and planning, scheduling, ordering etc. We've been busy the last few weeks, but not doing the type of stuff that brings in money, just busy work. Time to get some cash coming in!

I did a walk through at a job that I last visited about a week ago. There's a family room surround sound system with equipment that will be in a rack in a pantry.
Met with the GC and electrical contractor the last time I was at the jobsite and detailed some conduit runs that needed to by cut into the concrete floor. The run for the family room TV is about 40ft and I requested a single 1-1/4" conduit.
I found two 3/4" conduits in place instead and the floor has already been poured. There was also a second location that was saw cut in the concrete with some 1" conduit that was supposed to stub up in a wall where another rack with be. The conduit in this area never got stubbed up and it was also poured.
GC had his guys get out the saws and jackhammer and started tearing things up before I even left. Electrician was there and said "hey, I thought two 3/4" conduits would be just as good." I know others here on RC have had this happen, but it's only the second time for me (first time was conduit in a sheet rock wall so not so hard to fix).

:) Yeah... I actually had to prove my point when the electrician argued with me. Went to the van and cut off 16" lengths of all the wires I needed to get through the conduit and showed him how easily it all slid through a 1-1/4" conduit. Handed him the wires and told him to make it fit in the two 3/4" conduits. He got it all crammed in there, but no way it would have pulled through the bends. GC was there watching and immediately told his guys to rip it back out... at least the concrete was only a day old and shouldn't be too hard yet.

pulled out our boat show display to test the sat tv and sat internet dishes. our service tech jason did a sweet job with the wiring. i've got control over the whole helm with an MX5000 remote via IP. the sat domes actually get mounted above the helm on pedastals, but they were sitting on the ground in this photo. there is also a 46" samsung led that gets mounted above the whole helm. i'll post more photos when i'm down at the miami boat show next weekend and it is fully put together.
