Looks like I might be stuck then, since I only registered on the main bit of the original site to get pronot pro edit and firmware.

I guess that means us. Unfortunately, the link to the old website is an IP address which does not work. Anyway, this is going in the right direction.

The Old website link is working fine, try again :)

I decided to contact the prontoteam by the link on the website yesterday stating that I lost my access and they reset my password and I have access now and was able to complete the level 2 certification on the new website. I am able to access the modules.

FYI.

I managed to re-activate my Pronto account in the new site. This is what I did:

I requested my password by selecting "Forgot your password?" at the upper right of the new website. You will be asked for your email.

Your password will be emailed to you. The password I received did not work. So, I emailed back telling them this fact. Next day, I received an email with a new password that worked.

That's it...

I contacted my distributor through my dealer (in Canada) and they provided me the code to re-register. I initially tried it not considering that it was case sensitive, and just tried it again earlier today (using the right case) and now I have access to everything again!

Well it's over a week since we were locked out with no concrete news of any intended solution from Philips.

I think it's time (for me at least) to start looking for other solutions for the future.

There is not going to be any news IMO. Pronto has made their decision. Time to move to some other products. Suggestions?

Within this thread, IIRC, GlobalCache and iPad/iRule were discussed. There may be others.

A premature conclusion IMHO

a message from a consumer in the netherlands:

Called philips they refer to the pronto site that only has a mail access.
Mail the pronto site, no reply.
Mailed and phoned the distributer they refer to Philips and my local sales representative ( the shop a bought my pronto) and don't want to discuss this with a consumer.
Called the sales representative and he says' yeah we can help you, you can bring youre Pronto if something needs to be updated and we will charge you for the time we need to spend on it.

Did now send a mail to sales representative, distributor and philips that I want a solution for this. Next to that also filed a complaint at Philips HQ (next to the town I life in at Eindhoven :;)...) This is really unbelievable that they just block out consumers to be able to generate income for the company that sell these devices.

Me too I contacted prontoteam one week ago and did not receive any feedback until today.... Philips seems to ignore us. It seems they don´t want us as customers anymore...
