When you try to login, you get this: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Professional Access Temporarily Disabled
Dear Pronto Professional,
The Professional section of our renewed website is undergoing the final changes. This includes the migration of user accounts to enable access to this section. As soon as the renewed Pronto Professional area is live you will be informed by email in order to make sure you are able to logon to the new Professional Site.
Meanwhile you can still download our firmware from the this location.
For urgent matters please try and log on to our former server where you should still be able to access all areas. Note however that for some links you will have to change www.pronto.philips.com into 161.88.253.22.
Here is the link to our former site: http://161.88.253.22/
We are sorry for the inconvenience and like to thank you for your understanding.
The ProntoTeam. ----------------------------------------------------------------------
They are converting from a ColdFusion based site to something else, so I imagine they have some data migration to do. It sounds like all the current registrations will carry over and everyone will be notified when it is ready.

[Link: pronto.philips.com]Maybe, but if you go to the registration page, you can see that there is a field there where you must get a registration code from either your distributor or reseller. I suspect that if your distributor/reseller will supply this, you should be able to register.

I don't know how the rest of you registered on the pro area of the site, but I know that when I registered (2008) I had to wait for my distributor to send the authorisation to Philips. But I must say I'm a bit disappointed with the deployment of the new site. Why deploy only a front end, that is of little use, when the most significant part - the pro area is not finished yet? I mean the same front end info was on the previous site, and maybe they could have waited until everything was done.

Access to the pro area is now granted.
But no PEP 3 for me!
Guess I'll have to contact my "Authorised Dealer" to gain full access to the pro area.

2Many,
It is my understanding that...
PEPV3 has not even been released in Beta. So, how might you be able to get a copy?

While I am here, I don't appear to have the same access as I did previously. I tried downloading some PS modules but can't - restricted access. I'm only level 1, but there are no longer any modules available to me. I did have access before, I have the proof, over 100 modules. I downloaded all the modules available to try them out.

If this is the case, and pronto is closing up shop on us DIY customers I will have a TSU9800, TSU9600, RFX9600 and an RFX9400 for sale very shortly.
The only reason I went with pronto in the first place over control4 and other comparable brands was because of full access to the software and the ability to do things as needed.
Also I don't have an authorized dealer where I live so getting access through him is not possible at all either.
I too was only a level 1, it's really too bad if this is the road they choose.

From the ProntoScript Developers page, it says this:
Note that most of the information here is only accessible to installers who are level 2 certified or higher.
So just do the level 2 test and you'll be set.
