Is anyone having issues with PTX3's keeping a charge? I left the one in my office off the charger went out for a few hours this morning and came back and it was dead. I have adjusted the LCD settings and wake ups etc. I am rather disappointed if this is the case

Please let me know if this is an issue for anyone else

Most of our new PTX3 remotes have an issue and will not keep the LCD standby setting when you “save and exit”. They all go to “0”. The display stays on forever, or until the battery goes dead….

Support said to make the setting changes, and then hold down the power button to reboot the remote. It will then keep the settings.

You can also try resetting the battery memory in the diagnostic screen.

Our biggest problem has been with the More Button sticking. Have several that need replacement

Are you talking about Side Trigger Button#28? I have sent one (TPMC-3X) back for this already. I have 10 at one project and each feels different when pressed. Im hoping i can determine which ones will fail by how they feel out of the box. One is spongy and doesn't really make a clicking sound and the other clicks easily.

I think its like when you press a VHS tape into the VCR from the side. Eventually it warps it just like pressing the side trigger from the bottom corner instead of straight on. Thats a theory i am working on anyway :).

Yes, the Side Trigger. I have had three bad units. On several of them, the button works fine for the first two or three pushes and then sticks. If it sits for a few minutes, it will work fine for a few pushes. This makes it hard to identify during normal testing. Both the TMPC3X and the PTX3 have the same problem.

And…. Recently the PTX3 will stop connecting to SB or Toolbox after you upload a project. You have to R&R the battery to get it to connect again. Lots of fun when it happens for the first time once you are on site.

I’m sure these issues will be resolved before the new Prodigy video distribution matrix is released….

Bes sure and post some pictures of your install and any custom screens you make. I'm interested to see what you can do with Prodigy based on your other work.

Thanks for the follow up. The company i work for doesn't have any prodigy projects in the works yet so i have no idea when i will get a chance to experiment with it. The destiny menu/layout is not much different from what i am doing with TACTICAL. "Main Menu" navigation using page groups via the side trigger to navigate pages within a given device or source.

There is a new firmware that corrects the standby settings defaulting to "0"

Thanks for the update. I didn’t realize I needed to add the Prodigy software/firmware widget to my home page to see these updates. The online support page doesn’t keep up with many of these issue so it seems like we always have to call support. At least most of the offices now have a Prodigy system so they can verify the problems.

The product has come a long way in the last few months. Can’t wait to see the new stuff….

I have my LCD to turn off after 20 seconds and to not turn on with a hard button press and I can leave it off the charger for a couple of days or more.

Stamp,

You're in Chicago right? Maybe you teach me a little about System Builder and you can come by and check out our demo system... or I can bring it to you. We've got some thermostats, some light switches, etc. Things work alright, but I'm a bit rusty on getting this system to control the home theater aspect of things. The one project I did with Prodigy was just off-site thermostat monitoring, but I'd love to get it controlling the basement A/V system.

Just a thought.

Please clarify. Can I use an iPad with a Prodigy System?

If yes, do I have to use Command Fusion? (sounds like the best way to go anyway)

Can I use Mobile Pro, or will that just look like crap?

Is Mobile Pro G available for Prodigy?

When I did the 3 day training about a month ago we were told Mobile Pro G does not work with Prodigy. You can use mobile pro but yes it looks like crap when zoomed out.
