Review: | Nice idea in a remote. The colorful style keeps the kids interested a bit, they still want dad's remote, but this helps. Mine are actually a bit young so far at 3 and 2, this would probably be better for 4+ ages.
The capability is great for sat systems. I've used it both for Dish and DirecTV. I wouldn't buy the version 1 Weemote because it didn't have sat capability. Also, the defeatable volume keys are a very good idea.
It seems to be pretty solid, able to take a drop ok. Which it ought to be. This should be the most shock-resistant remote available considering its users.
Only problem is for videos. Play and Stop buttons would've been nice. No more, they don't need to scan through a tape or anything. We tend to have a tape or DVD just sitting constantly in the player for the kids. It would be nice to access those.
I got mine discounted a bit to $20, now they're at $15, so the value is getting better. Course, maybe they're disappearing. |
