Bang & Olufsen have really nice light controllers with scene capabilities. The only problem is the cost. I think they cost $100 each (at least here in Sweden..)

I have 2 issues with my Pronto CCF commands:

1) The ALL ON fuction doesn't seem to get everything (especially my halogen lamp) on very bright.

2) It refuses to turn on/of a light I have connected to an Appliance Module.

Anyone have any workarounds to this?

1) I'm not sure what you mean. The All Lights On command doesn't specify any brightness level. Each module will respond as it's programmed to respond which means full bright for the cheaper modules and (possibly) resume dim for the more expensive modules.

2) You're sending an All *LIGHTS* On command and to which appliance modules don't respond. There is an All *UNITS* On command but it's not supported by the IR543.

FWIW, the "All Off" on most controllers is an All *UNITS* Off. There is an All *LIGHTS* Off command but, like the All *UNITS* On, you won't find it on the cheaper transmitters.

Larry,

Not to be impertinent here, but are you sure there is an ALL UNITS ON command? It'd have to be an extended data command, because all X-10 command codes are already defined and none of them is ALL UNITS ON.

All Lights Off 0110
Status Off 1110
On 0010
Pre-set Dim (1) 1010
All Lights On 0001
Hail Acknowledge 1001
Bright 0101
Status On 1101
Extended Code 0111
Status Request 1111
Off 0011
Pre-Set Dim (2) 1011
All Units Off 0000
Hail Request 1000
Dim 0100
Extended Data Transfer 1100

As far as I know, the IR543 is capable of sending all these commands, but many of them would be fairly useless (ie Hail Request, Status Request, etc) with an IR543.

Come to think of it, No. There is an All Lights On, All Lights Off, and All Units Off but no All Units On.
