Hello all,
I have tried every variation to make the volume up and down commands sustain with no success. I can get them to work one click at a time but its a long way to England in a row boat if you know what I mean.
I found a thread that touched on this but apparently this person did not check to see if it worked. The dilemma is that Fujitsu requires @G\r to start communication and @Q\r to terminate. The volume up command is @A328C10\r. Well how do you sustain @A328C10\r within a macro. You cannot. I have been extremely creative by trying system macros and button test presses etc. with different parts of those strings on my own RTI/Fujitsu setup in hopes of cracking it. After two hours of trying everthing I could think of I gave up. Has anyone come accross this or have any suggestions. Nothing lke waiting till the last minute!
I don't think it matters but my Fujitsu is a 51 series and my clients will be 30 series. Any help would be appreciated.

If i remember correctly the @G\r is only needed once, It will then stay in communications mode until it sees the @Q\r . So make the @G\r the first string of your power on macro and @Q\r the last string of your off macro. then all of your tv commands will not need the @G\r allowing you to do a repeat until released on the volume commands.
I have not tried it but it should work.

Shouldn't it be %A328C10\r
You might also try: %A3220\r %A3221\r

Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain. |

The Code that I used that worked is %A328C10\r for Volume up. Delay between the charaters is 2 milliseconds. delay between repeats .2 seconds and then select "sustain" Baud rate 4800, parity "none" , stop bits "1" , Data bitas "8" Be sure to right click on the button and seclect RS 232. Volume down is %A328C11\r

I never got an opportunity to check Proggieus's suggestion. On install day I discovered that the cat5 I was going to use did not go back to the A/V rack where the RP6 was to be installed. I ended up putting the TV on IR and of course it worked fine. It only turns on and off and has volume control. I can now see in theory how that approach would work. Although, I never do a system on macro only a system off. I have any necessary on commands built into whatever activity they select. I guess I could set a flag for power on with the @G\r and clear the flag with the @Q\r. This should allow the volume to work the way that I needed. Anyway great suggestion! I appreciate it!
