I have been unsuccessful to get those codes above to work. I am trying to get those into my URC MX-3000. I tried the ProntoEdit as well as the Universal Browser HEX route - no joy so far.

I am particular interested in the discrete OFF for the XA-2. Could anybody email me his/her either ccf file or better the rcc file? I could not find anything in the forum's file section.

BTW, galileo01's post #9 seems to have identical codes for ON and OFF. Can this be?

Thanks much!!

I have the A2 codes at home. If you haven't gotten it by the time I get home this evening, I'll email them to you.

the discrete off works with my XA2:

discrete on does not work: I use 'play' command which will turn the unit on

I just finished up an RP6/T3 customer system with a Toshiba HDXA2 and the galileo01 power off code works perfectly. The power on doesn't work, but the power on code that Mark Rubin offered on this topic re-iterated below works just fine...between the two, power discreets for the HDXA2 are now in good shape:

try this hex code for XA2 ON (it is the PLAY command: also discrete ON:

Has anyone had a problem with the IR receiver on the HD-XA2 unit? I learned the remote with the IR-PRO and tried different distances and tap/hold methods for learning none with any success. Tried adjusting intensity on the RP-6 and moved the emitter around on the front window...still nothing reliable. Out of a total of >100 button presses (different learning techniques and placement) I had success with about 3 button presses. Any ideas? Could someone send me the above IR file with discrete OFF command included? Thanks guys.

Re: Power On. I haven't used an XA2 yet, but on the XA1 "Play", or "Open/Close" will Power On the unit.

Do you have the Toshiba DVD HD A2 Hex codes? I'd be grateful. Thanks.

The serial protocol for the XA2 lists discrete power commands.... so just do 232.

We ended up using 232 with the crestron system so IR wasnt needed, Although if a system comes up with RTI and ir is needed then the codes would be good to have...Or use 232
