Etronixs.com also sells the Denon and Harman Kardon
who also don't allow internet sales.

Just a note - I have found in other products (I'm sure it's the same with remotes and audio equip) that sometimes a retailer (let's say Bob's Audio with a real storefront) decides to go online and starts AUDIOMOFO.com . You talk to RTI or whatever and they say "No, AUDIOMOFO.com is NOT an authorized dealer", but what you don't know is that the company backing the website IS authorized, and they choose not to correlate the storefront to the website for one reason or another.

The reality of LIFE is this : warranties rarely come into play. I can't remember the last time I used a warranty on anything other than my car, and damned if I kept any of the paperwork anyway! If the price is $200 less from an unauthorized dealer on an unopened product, I'd personally consider it. Fact is anyway, if you buy a Sony receiver in an unopened box, fill out the warranty card, etc., and then have problems you can go to Circuit City and they'll fix it under warranty.

Randy,
Do you own a RTI T2 Remote Control? I have one and the price was very fair but all of the great feature's it has. If you were to buy a Crestron remote or AMX touchscreen you would be dropping about $1500 or more.

If there is a problem with my remote (RTI) etronixs.com will take care of it. I have been a very happy customer and there staff is great.

I belive they are also a authorized e-tailor for that model, so there would not be any warranty issues.

Now, we will make this the last thread in this forum to keep the attack's down on all of these companies and other forum posters. This need's to be a happy forum. Daniel has done alot of work here for us and does not need to be a babysitter of the forum and all of the messages.

I would like to (2nd) that motion.
Purchased the following:
RTI T2 Remote Control
RTI IRF System Interface
(2) RTI Video Sync Sensors

Waiting for the RS-232 option, Etronixs.com told me sometime late September they should have it in stock.
I was also very happy with there prices and very friendly customer service. They even saved me some money on shipping. Last year we bought the pronto from etronixs also was treated very well.

I am new at this RTI thing, but hope to post some files soon- enough of this bashing in all of the forum's that's why I left the other forum and came over here- A/V fan's are suppose to hang in together and help each other out- not yell at each other.

OK. Promised to be the last in the thread (I hope). Just got my T2, IRF-6, and accessories today. 2-day delivery as promised from Etronix. Very professional and friendly. Will not hesitate to buy from them again.

I just got back from CEDIA show and have lined up a distributor for the RTI and Pronto. Will be adding them to my site www.homeautomationnet.com in about a week. I don’t plan to be undersold (even if I make nothing), check me out towards the end of the week.

Just to voice my 2 cents. I also received friday my rti remote from etronixs.com and had very good service.
Now i have to wait for the new RS-232 sensor to come out! 4-cent's: don't know about the company above, sounds kinda fishy, why would you not want to make any money on something you are selling. I suggest you call RTI before ordering from them, get the low down.

I am new and trying to attract business. I came out of 15 years in the aerospace industry where I designed launch processing and control systems for the latest fleet of Delta rockets. I have never done anything fishy to anybody, my reputation is more important than that. Sure I would like to make a profit on these if possible, but I would also like to turn some of the visitors to my site into buyers. I know it will be hard going especially since etronix basically owns this site (just try to advertise here). I hope that by cutting my margins to the bone I can earn some of your business.

Bill E-The statement you made "even if I make nothing" is exactly the kind of remark that sends chills up most lagitimate e-commerce sites. If all you have to offer is the cheapest price, you will soon find out that that wont keep you in business very long and don't expect alot of support from sites that have invested alot of money and have been around for along time. Just look at the negative responses you've gotten already.

Just my opinion!

Don't do much posting here, just read to get all the new and great ideas from everyone. Trying to research on a new remote. Had to post today! I agree with Bill T 100%! If you look at some of these web-sites they have put alot of money in them and do a fantastic job offering customer service. Cheapest price does not mean a whole lot anymore unless your buying french fries. I like to help support companies that work together and help each other out, in return those companies give the customer great service. Not too mention names- being this is not a market place. The company which donates prizes each month for remote central contest, has been with us for a long time, giving us very fair prices on the newest electronics and helping us with the items we purchase from them. They have done very very well with cutomer service. If you look in some of the other forums, people are always saying nice things about them. I will support that company and continue to purchase my a/v gear from them. The new poster Bill E, you just don't jump in and try to take business away from one of our supporters, this is wrong! Please go find your own forum & friends.

I have to say, that costs are important for me to decide wheather or not to buy a remote and also where to buy it. I have had many experiences with dealers who only wanted to make money and care a Fu** about customer care. And I think this is exactly the same with etronix or with Bill-E's shop. Paying 100$ less is in my opinion a reason to buy at Bill-E and not at etronixs. I don't think that I can expect more customer care from etronixs for 100$ more.

Maybe some people need some economic lessons, but if you really think that the T2 costs 650$ you should keep dreaming. Retailers add about 100% to the price they buy it. I thank Bill-E for his great price and give a fu** to whom this site belongs, maybe I'm going to buy a T2 from him.

just my 2 cents.

Excuse my foreign english but I'm not from the US.

Robby-Boy, do you have alot to learn. If you think that in todays market that a dealer is making 100% mark-up you are out of touch-Typical margins on video and high end accessories can be in the 20% to 35% and a person like Bill E is looking at less than that with the prices he quoting-That brings us to the simple question-If he doesnt make any money, will he be around when you have a problem-Thats an economic lesson.

Good luck

Don't worry folks I will be around, so will RTI. Profit margins a very tight on the Internet if you make 20% you are doing well. All my discussions with RTI are about setting and maintaining MAP (manufactures advertised pricing), RTI is still wrestling with the Internet, read their philosophy on there home page it kind of says it all. I support RTI and other manufacturers who are trying to help their dealers make a living, I want that also.

RTI is in a hard spot though, I am moving a lot of their merchandise and it is a powerful incentive for them to let me continue. On the other hand they don't want to turn their product into a Phillips pronto where their dealers don't make a thing on them. If that the case they will sell something else, I think etronix dropped Pronto.

I am a new site and have to work hard to build a reputation offering fair prices and good service. I am trying hard, I don't think many of my customers would disagree that I am doing my best to please them.
But I can not afford to sit on my inventory so I offer some specials to get you to have a look at my site. I hope that you will buy from me but if not Remote Central’s supporter etronix has a lot of good followers and from what I can tell they are first class people. But just by getting you to look at me as a option opens up the possibility that you may come back to my site and make a purchase in the future. I will be here, this is what I do.

Thanks
Bill
