I just saw that Safe and Sound (one of the original retailers of the pronto) has the T2 for $559. What Gives? I am a little Pis*!d because of this. You see, I had my client by two from eTronixs and of course they were $650 each. Now he has to go into Safe and Sound to pick up an unrelated accessory and will no doubt find out that the price sucked.

eTronixs I suggest you think about issuing some rebates.

OMG u cheap ass! Jesus make a buck buddy and dotn ever worry about what someone else is selling anything for. If they are your CLIENT, then they use YOUR services and knowledge. If they are just buying equipment at the cheapest price, then you dont need them as a client nor do you need them to make a small sum of money.

I called your little place called Safe and Sound.
They don't even have them in stock and I also called RTI and they are not a authorized dealer for them, nor have they even ordered them. I also bought my from etronixs and I was very happy with there customer service and speedy shipping. Plus if you are a fellow remote central friend/poster you will see that etronixs has done alot for us, offering us great prizes for the contest/etc.
Maybe one day you will be a winner too.

P.S. The RTI rock's! now about a clock.

But all those things do is blink 12:00, 12:00, 12:00... ;-)

Seriously, if S&S is not authorized I would not suggest buying from them.

eTronixs - I stand corrected...

as for you Rick --- f#?k off!

Cheap ass has nothing to do with it. It is all about being credible with one's clients - something you obviously have no clue about. It just so happens that in this case, the relationship with my client has ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with remotes and home theater. This was a favor-not a service for hire.

Furthermore, I suggest you take some typing and spelling lessons before you turn that keyboard flame-thrower on.

Peet, telling someone to F off sure adds to your credibility. I hope your client doesn't see that one.

Daniel, I find it ironic you would suggest that someone not buy from S&S because they are not authorized by RTI. Philips has not authorized etronixs, would you recommend buying a Pronto there?

Philips authorization is for Internet sales, not sales in general. If you don't follow Philips rules they simply won't let you get the product.

But apparantly S&S had not placed any orders from RTI. So where did they get them?

Daniel,
That does not answer my question. And where did etronixs get Pronto? Direct from Philips? This is, of course, all in jest Daniel. I just found it very ironic.

Well, what can you do. :-) As far as I know they're bought through distributors, but there was a snafu year or so ago where Philips cut off *total* supply large number of vendors selling online.

I honestly can't say how RTI's channel sales work, but if RTI says SS isn't autorized and haven't bought anything, that does throw up a few caution flags.

Now I think of it, are we talking about **Metronet** Safe & Sound? I thought it was just someone called "Safe & Sound". If so, I know they're good guys. But that still doesn't answer the authorization bit...

I assume they are through distributors as well because if you call and ask Philips, Etronix is not authorized. They do, however, have a great reputation and I am sure do a great job so I hope no offense was taken Etronix :-). I am sure Metronet, also great guys, buy RTI from distributors as well.

Dear Daniel,

I have been using this forum since the Pronto time and really love this society. Once I have a problem, I can quickly search for other threads or someone in the forum will give me a helping hand.

But on this new RTI forum, I think that there is too much personal attack and even rude and foul langages. This really make other readers like me feel unpleasant.

What do you think about it?

Wow, let's keep the attack's down on each other this is a friendly place. Just to help out and maybe take care of some confusion- I hope.

We are a authorized internet dealer for RTI and there remotes.

Ucommand - Crisp Solutions- authorized.

Plus many many more.

We have been working on Philips for the past year to become an authroized internet dealer- you would think selling over 1500 pronto's they would work with you. This company is a bear to work and very hard to talk too. Plus if you are authorized by Philips they would like you sell everything for MAP or suggested retail. We have just sent another form in to them today- we will see what happens.

Hope some of this info. helps someone...
Thanks Etronixs.com
