I have to confess that I don't remember talking about the Bose, can you point me to the post, or just remind me what I was going to sample?

Rob.

OK,
I found this place completely by accident. I have just purchased a OneForAll Cinema7 URC-7800B00 in hopes of getting it to work with two specific devices. One should have been simple.. An RCA DirecTV satellite box model # and, the harder one, a brand new AIWA TVF2000 flat screen 20" TV. I put in the program code for the RCA as 0566 and it starts to work.. THen I notice I can only go DOWN in channel numbers (using CH-v or the four-way blue arrows.. I think controlling the AIWA is hopeless, noone seems to know anything about the device, and I can't find any universal that will do the job for me. I guess a 'true' learning device is in my future... Hope my checkbook can stand it.. Anybody have a better suggestion?

If you're interested, for a few dollars in parts and a couple hours of your time, you could have the experience of building a cable and upgrading your Cinema 7 with the codes to support your devices. You'd be able to create complex macros and highly customized button layouts for your remote to personalize it for your preferences. See [Link: hifi-remote.com] for more info.

Just FYI, the SAT/0566 code is not the right code for RCA's DirecTV, the real code is SAT/0362, but it's not in the Cinema 7 for some reason (it's in the 15-1994).

Like Glenn said, using the JP1 stuff, you would be able to definitely create a new code for the SAT, and possibly for the Aiwa.

In the meantime, you could just learn the SAT buttons that don't work.

Get's lots more info on the Cinema 7 at http://www.hifi-remote.com/

Must be a server problem. I was on the site two days ago. My "favorites" link is also broken (same error) now. Robman?
