I was just about to order the sony av2000 until
I read some of these posts. I went out tonight and bought the Cinema6.What a nice remote,it's
design is simple and comfortable to use.It worked with all the default settings, even my sony with
pip.

When setting up my Cinema 6 for my JVC 222 receiver I found that the number keys did strange things. However, by using the "learn" function to reassign those keys to their proper function I was able to get things to work. For my JVC 200 disc changer the number keys work differently from those on the original remote, and I think I like the "new" way better than the old.

When checking out the settings for my TV (Sylvania) and VCR (GE), I found that some keys have useful functions attached to them, though which are assigned to what seems to be a random matter.

The control is wonderfully powerful. To operate my receiver I have to bounce it off a wall, since the receiver is not on a line of sight from where I am (it's a bedroom, and I'm in bed). I find that I don't have to be careful at all in how I point the device.

How do they do it for $20. I guess they do it by paying nothing in wages in China!!

I am really interested in a Cinema 6 remote but I do not live near a wal-mart. Is there any other store that carries this remote in NYC? Is anyone willing to sell theirs?

Sears sell cinema 7 learner now for $24.99. IT is a great one.

Based on the comments here, I picked up the
Cinema 7 learner at Sears this weekend for $24.99.

It is indeed a great value for the money. Setup
was a snap (all of my components were supported,
and it quickly learned the more obscure functions
that weren't already mapped out). It seems to
be quite durable compared to my previous remote
(a venerable Memorex CP-8), which was flexed to death when someone accidentally sat on it...

It might have been nice to have support for more than two macros and to have the volume and channel
buttons be a little larger. But for the price,
I am completely satisfied.

Does anyone know of a web site that has a decent sized scanned picture of the Cinema 6 and Cinema 7.

Thanks Daniel, the OFA Europe website has a newsflash about their impending release but no product details or pictures.Typical - as usual the European model gets released late, will undoubtably be missing features and will definitely be three time the price. Good thing I've got understanding American friends

Hey folks - you are NOT limited to 2 macro keys or 4 learning keys on this remote!!

Any key can be taught ANY function, OR any key can learn a series of commands to act as a macro. It's THAT flexible.

I got advanced codes for all my components directly from OneForAll's email. These are keys they didn't bother to program, but I wanted them anyway. You don't have to learn them, you just program them in (3 digits) to any key, which saves memory for other "learning" things you might still have to do.

Great remote! I have one for each room's setup - that way I never have to think, where is the volume control? How do I do x? Their all set up the same!

Anybody know of anywhere on the Web to review the new URC7800 and URC9800 (including screen shots)?

Can somebody send me the advanced codes for the Cinema 6? My email is [email protected] and the Cinema 6 is not working very well with my Sony Stereo STRD315. I have sent email to OneForAll, but have not gotten a response yet.

Note: I did learn from OneForAll customer support that to clear all learned keys in your remote (this may help free up some memory in your remote), press setup until light blinks twice, then enter 981 and it should blink four times.

I have purchased a Cinema 6 to control my JVC CD changers and receiver. Now that my older OFA 4050 is getting cranky I am going to get a Cinema 7 for my TV, VCR, a receiver and another CD changer.

Circuit City seems to have the Cinema 7 for about $21. Talk about bargains!

I want to try out a Cinema6 or 7, but am confused on the differences between the two. Any different features? Which is the newer model? Does one have more memory for learning commands?

Does anyone know if it has presets to control:
Yamaha 995 receiver
Panasonic A120 DVD
Pioneer D570 LD
Sony SLV-775HF VCR
Sony 27S65 TV

TIA!
