I have an RU880 that is struggling to learn any new IR codes...I am occasionally able to get it to learn 1 button after which it freezes on "Learning" for around 1-2 minutes only to tell me that it failed to learn. Other times, it fails immediately or I have to reset the unit. The codes it does learn do not always work properly.

I have recently purchased a Denon S-302 (RC1072), but I am obviously not able to get the RU880 to learn its commands.

Does anyone have the IR codes for this remote? I have searched all over RC, as well as the internet for any codes that I could cut/paste, but have not been successful.

Any help would be much appreciated (and yes, I will eventually have to invest in a new remote, but I really like the RU880)...

Does that remote use software that you can paste hex codes into?

The Denon S-302 uses KASEIKYO FORMAT,DATA CONSTRUCTION 48bit.

The SW for the RU980 is the same as that used for the TSU7000. I believe the RU980 is the European version fo the TSU7000.

While I am not sure I understand your second point related to the Kaseikyo format, I am able to enter IR hex codes such as the ones listed in the Descreet Infrared Hex Codes section (and they work). In fact, I found a listing for the Sony BDP-S550 for the TSU7000 on RC and cut/pasted each code to my configuration and they worked great.

That is great you have a RU980 and not RU880,

[Link: remotecentral.com]

I have programed a S-102 with a RU960 it has most of the S-302 codes.

Try these first,

Thanks for this. Unfortunately, these do not work for the S-302. Power on/Standby has the following code for me (one of the few buttons along with volume up/down I actually managed to program!)

0000 006C 0000 0032 0082 0041 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0011 0031 0011 0031 0011 0011 0011 0B1E

These look very similar to yours so I did try to identify the differences between POWER ON and OFF in your hex codes and modify my hex code accordingly, but that didn't quite work as intended (this may not be an intelligent approach, but given that I know very little...seemed logical to me!).

There is an AUX button that cycles through AUX inputs. If I had that one (actually the relevant descreet codes), I could at least switch between devices and solve part of my problem. I would still need the remote for the S-302, but at least I would be able to operate Sky HD, BlueRay, etc. without touching 2 remotes...

Again, thanks for your efforts.

Those codes I posted are generated clean codes.I am surprised they did not work.
I have a pcf file with learned codes from S 102 and they are the same as the S 302.By the pdf I have with IR codes for both are the same.I can email them to you if you email me your address.Just select my VIEW PROFILE to get my address.

Can you try this for me.I have changed the frequency to 38000 KHz.

For anyone who would like to know.
I emailed twil01 a pdf with codes for the Denon S-302 taken from the pdf from the Denon site and generated the Hex codes with Make Hex.I had to change the frequency from 3700 KHz to 3800KHz for them to work.He had a Pronto RU980 remote.

I have an S-102 and have tried all of the codes earlier on this thread but the only ones that definitely work for me are:

I don't think it supports them.

I have a PCF with all the 302 codes if you what to try them.

Denon don't list them here.
