I contacted Paypal when all communication stopped with the seller and I did not receive the battery that I ordered. All of a sudden, the seller Eric Remy started to communicate with me. He apologized by saying the battery was back-ordered and he would ship the next day with a tracking number. Then he said that he did have the correct shipping papers and then no communications. I contacted him four times after that to no avail. Paypal is now going to investigate him. They should stop doing business for him.

I've lost contact with prontobattery.com loads of emails, and a few back stating delays. But an order in March and still nothing is not acceptable!!!

I've contacted paypal to inform them of no receipt and they wanted to hear from anyone else with the same issue.

So.... if you paid through paypal and are past the 45 day period STILL file a complaint. They will process all refunds upto 180 days _IF_ more than one person complains.

Quote from paypal: 'We do reserve the right to reopen any claim for investigation within 180 calendar days if we receive multiple complaints about a particular seller. We will contact you by email if this is the case.'

If you have filled in a complaint to paypal, post a message here. We can use this as evidence to paypal to refund us all.

Hope this helps.

Garethrees,

I filed a complaint with PayPal 3 days ago and got a message that they cannot mediate my complaint. I placed my order in December of 2006 and was lulled to sleep by pomises made by Shiftlock on this thread. I suppose I got the message since I am past the 180 days. Under the circumstances, though, I feel my claim should count.

According to that web site the battery pack is currently
not available.

At Prontowizard.com, batteries are back in stock as of Monday, July 23rd. We were out of stock about 3 weeks. I hope to eliminate this issue going forward.

Please DO NOTconfuse us with Prontobattery.com We are the good guys and have many thousands of happy Pronto battery customers, all over the world.

Thx Dave

Paypal came through for me and I got a full refund. Thanks Paypal!!! Just ordered a battery from RemoteQuest and I am waiting for delivery. I also ordered his programming manual. That I now have and hope to start using it soon. I hope that many people read this thread and shut prontobattery.com down and save themselves from the aggravation that I had. Thanks!!!

Well, Eric/Shitlock, whatever has a claim with Paypal for me to. I ordered 1 from Dave at remotequest and requested a refund from Paypal.

Interestingly enough, I ordered one from Eric in July, 2005 before his wife apparently passed away and it took weeks and multiple followups to get that one. I paste his "reason" given then.

Hello,

This email is being sent to everyone who has placed an order for a battery from Prontobattery.com within the last couple of weeks. Your order has been received, and it has either already been shipped or will be shipped very soon. For those of you who have been waiting for your order, I’m sorry for the delay. I was traveling, and when I returned there was a backlog of orders to ship. You will receive your battery(s) very soon. Thanks for your order.

Eric
