Hm, if I would make at least $30 profit on selling these I would pay a bit more attention to my customers.

He seems to be having a supply issue with the connector. I do agree with the need for reasonable updates. I did email him and asked him to ship a battery pack without the connector. He agreed and shipped immediately. I soldered on the connector from an old pack and used some small heat shrink tubing to insulate the connections. Works fine and the battery life is much improved. If he ever gets his connector supply problem worked out it might be worth the wait.

Well, Mines been on order since January 20th.

Still nothing....

If I don't hear anything from this guy by March 20th I will dispute my Paypal order and I will not back down this time. 2 months and 1 email is incredibly bad business.

Since he could care less about the folks that gave him $54.00 for a product and then only say 1 thing in a forum and 1 thing on a website then I could care less what this does to his Paypal account.

I asked him to keep us in the loop but he hasn't. So oh well for him I guess.

Unfortunatley given the state of affairs I cancelled my order a month ago and got a refund (although I lost a few pounds due to the exhange rates).

It sounds like an excellent product and I would love to have one but the supply issues are a big downer.

Surely it would be possible for someone else (possibly one of the existing hi-capacity battery producers) to make the same product as all they need to do is use the current generation of Ni-Mh batteries. Given the current market prices for the batteries he was making a huge profit so surely someone else must be willing to produce these items.

Same prob on my end, except in my case I gave Eric some trust as I had purchased 2 x 900mHA packs from him over a year ago and he did respond to my emails on Feb 14th with the same infromation re issues with supply of a part. Now I am over the 45 days for Paypal to refund my money so now it's onto a more complex process with my credit card company to get my money back and in this example while I might get my money back, he will still get to keep the $54.

Has anyone heard anything since February? Looks like I'll be out the money I spent last December. Since I was satisfied with his previous products I thought it was a safe bet to pay in advance.

Took ages but I got a reply to my email asking for my money back and a few days later I had my refund in Paypal. Getting the battery pack, unlikely in my view. Getting your money back is slow but worked out for me and others who posted here

Sorry about this fellow losing his wife; but he is no less a a crook. I pre-ordered & paid for a battery pack in Dec 2006. Many communications and even a couple of responses from him apologizing and assuring me of delivery-no battery pack. A request for a refund has been ignored. So BUYER BEWARE, DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAMMER.

I wished that I had found this thread a couple of weeks ago before I ordered the above mentionned battery pack. I received three emails initially from him and now nothing. I sent him an email today asking him if was ill or did he, like a bandit, just take off with my 54 bucks. I hope that others do not make the same mistake as I did.

To all who give a crap. The ProntoBattery.com site has a link for order status. Click it and you'll be routed to Tom Greene's Blog Site.

I think Shiftlock (I think he's the owner of this site) has screwed many people. I wouldn't send him the money for a single postage stamp, let alone a battery.

Just so everyone knows I did finally get my battery after threatening to lodge a complaint with
paypal.

The battery works as advertised but I'd never do business with him again.

According to that web site the battery pack is currently not available.
