Lyndel, hope all is well. It has been awhile, but I just acquired more dvds and cds. Apologies for being so limited with SNL, but I cannot follow your instructions from months ago to create two lists: one for RF and one for IR, for the two CD changers and one DVD changer in my 9200 ccf.
There has got to be (I hope...;-) ) a simpler way to generate the two types of surf lists (ir and rf); I would appreciate any help you can provide.
I emailed my current ccf to you just now, for your reference. Also, sent my SNL files.
Best Regards, Harris

Ripper,
If you've got MS Excel (Office 2000), I have a spreadsheet that manages the discs and allows you to export both category and alphabetical lists to SNL. I've recently submitted this to the site but it has not posted yet. If you're interested, drop me a line and I'll e-mail it to you.

Vacancy,
If you can save the thing as an Excel 97 file, please do so and email me a copy. Joe Cothran from this thread is also currently doing the Genre/Category thing and this spreadsheet would be very helpful to him as well. I don't think he's got Office 2000 though.

Thanks! I sent Vacancy an e-mail. I am running Win 2000 w/ Office 2000 on two of my machines. Thanks to b00bie for all the tips! I've gotten the layouts and Color_Override folders set up. Plus my limited DVD list version CCF appears to work flawlessly with the stereo. Now for the full blown lists!!

Lyndel, I am at this point just trying to use SNL with the current 9200 ccf I have (sent you a copy last week). Two questions: re the multiple errors, eg:
Line 17960 : Error E0006 : "Invalid Color" Pass 0 : "InactiveSelectedColor(240,0)" "C:\Supernudelist\SN_Temp\SuperNudelist.csf" is not a valid CSF file.
How do I track down these errors to eliminate them?? Can this be a CCF tools error??
Also, I don't recall how to use your rainbow graphics; I put the Color Override Large directory in the same folder as the SNL program, but I keep getting black buttons with yellow lettering on the alphabet page. I also tried to put the SNL program in the Color Override folder, but still get the same results. What am I missing???
Thanks, Harris

DRHB
If you created any buttons in Tonto they contain a color outside of the Pronto pallette, CCFTools veiws these as invalid and will not compile using them, Oliver has not made any updates lately so you will have to go into your CCF and track them down if you are not sure where the buttons are you could try deleting one device at a time and recompiling until you find the device that has the bad button (MAKE A BACKUP FIRST)and then check through the buttons in that device. Next make sure that you have your diectory name spelled correctly SNL only understands a particulas convention, refer to Lyndels SNL primer if you have any doubts.
Good luck
Tom

Boobie, Thanks for the getback...
Will try the delete method; it is a good suggestion at this point, I would think.
Re the directory, will check the release notes for SNL again. I thought I followed the instructions but I guess not.
Hopefully I will get it, this time around,
Harris

All,
If you use Tonto frequently along with SNL, you may have errors related to 'Colors'.
Color Index Problems after using Tonto
Tonto supports the full range of 256 colors. However, CCFTools only supports color indices 0-215.
The problem you are experiencing is NOT an SNL issue, but rather a Tonto/CCFTools compatibility issue. The procedures necessary to correct the problem are outlined below.
TIP: Use CCFTools to find and fix the problem
To correct this problem, decompile your 'SNL Input CCF'(the one without lists) to a CSF file and then recompile it using CCFTools. During the recompile step, the same error you see when running SNL will be reported. Open the CSF file with a text editor that supports line numbers and navigate to the line where the problem is reported. Change ANY value over 215 to 215. What this effectively does is to set any color that is outside of the bounds of what CCFTools can handle to 'WHITE'. You may have to recompile/edit multiple times to eliminate the problem.

Can the SNL be used on TSU-3000?
If yes, PROs and CONs? Thanks, Serv

Please help if you can. I need to buy a remote very soon as a gift for my sister and I'd like to help set-up the Pronto for her 300 DVD changer. I'd love to get her the TSU3000 over the TSU2000 if the SNL works on it.

I'd like to help set-up the Pronto for her 300 DVD changer. I am currently working on a multiple button creation wizard for button maker. You can see a post in the NG section called Button Maker Suggestions. Also look at www.intercal.co.uk and you can see how I have done my jukebox with letter tabs and scroll bar when there are too many items for that letter tab. You can download the current version of Button Maker free at [Link: singlepointmedia.co.uk]

Tip: SNL does not currently support the TSU3000 or the IPronto6400
Serv,
SNL relies heavily on the old CCF format and CCFTools found on this site. Currently, there is not a version of either CCFTools or SNL available for the TSU3000.
A version of SNL to support the 3000 would be a somewhat tedious task. It is possible but, not in the timeframe you would need.
I might suggest using Richard's utilities in the meantime and creating the panels yourself.
Regards, Lyndel McGee.

Hi, has no one yet managed to use the CSV format output file from DVD Profiler to create a list in SNL? I have roughly 550 DVD that I really want to avoid having to input manually into SLN as they are already stored in DVD Profiler! But as I have posted this question several times before, and I'm not good enough with computers to solve the problem myself (manage to open the output file in Excel, but unable to import the file into SNL), I guess there nothing else to do than to start typing....
Next question; I have a changer with CDs and the list for this works fine. But for DVD I want to store only the disc number and disc title, but SNL refuses to accept entries without "Artist". What am I doing wrong?
