Help! I've assigned advanced codes to multiple "shifted" keys. I've run out of memory and now I need this memory space.

I can removed an advanced code from a standard key, but not a shifted key. I must be doing something wrong.

Can anyone please provide me instructions on how to do this or provide advice?

Thanks,
- Bryan

Back up through the messages on this forum to November 17, and you will find a thread titled 'Clearing out a stacked key' that should help.

It looks like the available 'fix' is to clear out all of a device's moved keys with SETUP**994**Device Device.

Clearing keys may be something to be added to the FAQ.

To clear a shifted EFC, hit:

SETUP**,994,KEY,SETUP,KEY** (it will blink
twice to tell you its cleared)

Yikes! Ok, that makes sense. Time to update the FAQ again :(

Are you sure that clears out the shifted button's function or just copies the non-shifted button's function to the shifted one? When you attempt to use the MAGIC-button sequence, does the LED flash?

Terrific, that is exactly the functionality I was looking for. Thanks so much.

> So this clears BOTH assignments (shifted AND unshifted)?

No, the sequence I described earlier clears the shifted assignment only, and does not affect the
regular assignment. I confirmed this just recently on a key that I
assigned an EFC code to in both regular and shifted modes.
