Yeah, I should have recorded a video of the training so I could see what was on those pages that he was scrolling through in the widget programming document.

Has v3 opened up anymore hope for other 2way devices/commands besides the included ones? I haven't done much more aside from looking at the new layout and such.

yes, it has with the new Nevo widgets. 2-way serial and 2-way IP devices, not just the manufacturer specific ones like in version 2.

Seems like it should be an interesting guide - looking forward to the Integra volume check and hoping it works the same with the Onkyo and can possibly work for other receiver features. Having to convert a Pronto system over to the Nevo and getting some 2way control with the receiver would be great!

I made a volume feedback widget for my Marantz SR5003 last night based off of the Integra volume widget in the manual ... good times.

I made one for the SR5004 (same thing)  and found that the 2 second timer was too much for the Q50 to handle.  It made everything very sluggish.  Instead of a 2 second timer, I'm thinking that using the up state on the volume hard buttons would be a better trigger for the status widget.  that way it only requests the volume when you let go of the button.

It seems 2 seconds might just be excessive especially if you only set the volume once or twice during a few hour period.

Duct - did you actually try that yet? I'd like to just have it display the last number as a sort of static text until it is changed again, without having to send requests constantly.
