If they want people like me to leave then they need but ask. Letting people know your intentions up front makes this statement a non-issue. Anyone know a website where I can post my x-rays and get an opinion from a certified expert (and an occasional newbie that stayed at a Holiday Inn last night) for free? No enthusiastic radiologists out there? Anyone? I just heard a pin drop and some crickets. So I understand why you just don't get it.

I just ordered my Radiologists training guides on Ebay...6.99 for the CD's
Ok guys..give me a few months to study up and I can offer discounted services
remember Im not a licenced radiologist so you may want a second opinion but I can offer it to you way below the actual rates...I will set the rates on Ebay since it seems to detirmine retail prices
Dont let your doctors rip you off anymore! Check ebay pricing first!
Looking into becoming an ordained minister too...any one looking to get married soon??

Why wait. It's a whole different mindset, but in time you'll get very comfortable with getting paid for practicing. Heck it's only someones life at stake. At least as a Radiologist you'll actually be someone. And if the name Radiologist is taken, call yourself a Radoilogist. No doubt, the intelligent people will know what your talking about.

By the way you can buy programming help from ebay as well for $50 - $100 dollars.
I'm sure it takes a lot to become a CI. And I don't want to get into an argument which is harder to get into. I didn't realize it was as hard to become a CI as it was for me to get to where I am. By the way I had to have a 3.8 GPA in High school and be on the Honor Role. Get into a good College and maintain my GPA above 3.6 and take a really hard exam called MCAT (which included physics, organic Chemistry, chemistry, Biology more). Get into Medical School by impressing interviewers. Go through the nation Match and get into a Residency (one of the hardest in the USA). Work 36 hour shifts strait several times a week for years making $40K. Having $200K in Medical school loans because my parents couldn't afford it. Passing Step 1 of the Medical Boards, Step 2 of the medical Boards, and Step 3 of the medical Boards. Then passing a Nation Radiology Physics exam in year 2 of residency. Passing the Written exam in radiology in year 3 and an oral exam in year 5. Then getting a limited license for 10 years and repassing an exam every 10 years.
This whole process took 14 years of my life but to me it was well worth it. I don't look down on your profession. I think you provide a valuable service Again I think its nuts comparing Medicine to CI. They are two different professions. I know I couldn't pass your Exams just like you couldn't pass mine. But remember its 14 years for me. Out of curiosity how many years for you? You must be slow, Doogie Howser (spelling?) was a surgeon by the time he was 14:) As for me, I have been doing install for about 16 years (a young pup compared to many on this forum). I started by carrying the same 3.8 through high school. I was trying to get into the Air Force Academy, so I had to start writing to politicians when I was a Sophmore in high school. By the last semester of my junior year I had three letters of recommendation from Congressmen, four letters from teachers, etc. When I was a senior I was one of a handful of students selected to go to Washington D.C. with the Youth Leadership Forum on Security and Defense. I was also given the privilege of an interview with the Air Force Academy. When I walked in the room there were nine people there to interview me, all at the same time. After that I never feared an interview again, it was one of the best experiences of my life. I unfortunately failed to meet one of the requirements and after three years of work, was denied acceptance. I then graduated with a degree in Business from a 4-year college which I'm still paying for because like you, my parents couldn't pay for it. There's about $40k in tuition costs that has nothing to do with my profession of CI. My training/classes for that come 24 hours a day 7 days a week, plus CEDIA, plus manufacturer's training. Our training starts over every year with new products, new technologies, or new software we have to learn. And all this doesn't mean crap because I lose out to some jackass selling remotes on eBay and people like yourself calling me a liar when I tell you I can't sell products that cheap.

It's unfortunate that you didn't think to call or e-mail for pricing. I would have been competitive and AUTHORIZED with a REAL WARRANTY. Thank you, Damon DG = = = = = http://www.ProRemotes.com - Authorized Dealer & Remote Programming Services

We each take the path that suits our needs. I never called anyone a liar. I served my Country during Desert Storm and worked really hard to get to where I am. Trying to minimize my accomplishments changes nothing. I'm in my Late 30's and am well respected. This whole thing got out of control. I apologize if anyone has taken personal offense from my statements. I was wrong with my attitude. And it doesn't matter what message you have if you are wrong in your attitude. Funny thing is if I met any of you guys we would be buddies.

Just because we advertise certain prices doesn't mean that we can't sell for less. Call or e-mail and let us know how we can help, before going through grey market and unauthorized sellers. As a matter of fact, I'm going to make that into a thread. Thank you, Damon DG = = = = = http://www.ProRemotes.com - Authorized Dealer & Remote Programming Services

Phoenix, Thank you for your last post. I can respect someone who is down to earth and admits when they stepped out of line. Welcome back to humanity! hehe My intention was simply to educate and have a bit of a laugh...ok, and to help ground you a bit. ;) That still doesn't mean unauthorized sellers on eBay are good. lol Thank you, Damon DG = = = = = http://www.ProRemotes.com - Authorized Dealer & Remote Programming Services

Thank you, Damon DG = = = = = http://www.ProRemotes.com - Authorized Dealer & Remote Programming Services I learned about the MX 950 from this site and the review and if it wasn't for the $200K medical school loans and the big house my wife (and I) bought I would be able to buy from you guys. I am grateful to this site and many others which have educated me. If I had any impression the unit was stolen or illegal from eBay I would never buy it. As stated before Doug sold me a MX 700 2 years ago and he was really helpful in programming it and as always been available. I'm not sure how he sells for a low price but I don't believe its stolen property.
