About the WinCE aspects, if you have ActiveSync installed to sync Pocket PCs / WinCE devices, the MX-3000 will establish a partnership. Just set all services to not sync. ActiveSync will then connect the MX-3000 but will not try to replicate any data.
Obviously you will not be able to sync any devices while the MX-3000 is connected but no big deal. Downloading via USB 2.0 is a matter of 15-20 seconds, much faster than the MX-700 download.

Disregard my previous post, I downloaded direct from HTM site and everything works just fine. The MX-3000 is a mighty fine remote!

You can have any section you want.
I'm thinking that you are trying to compare the programming with an MX button remote that has a FAV button that goes to a FAVORITE CHANNEL area.
The MX-3000 is not set up that way.
You can have many MAIN pages and/or many other pages with whatever you want on them, and "buttons" on the pages that take you to other pages on the remote.
So, you can have a "FAV" button anywhere - on a MAIN page, on the TV page, on the CABLE page, or anywhere you like - that takes you to a page or set of pages that have your CATV logos that are buttons with the appropriate macro attached that takes you to the CATV channel that you want.
I hope this explains things.
Greg
P.S. In the future, I think it would be a good idea to start putting questions/comments about the software in separate threads so that the questions/answers/comments are easier to search and read.

. . . So maybe, just maybe, we might see it in time for Christmas. (One for my sock). Note: I didn't actually specify which Christmas. This message was edited by djy on 03/17/04 07:28.

I thought the MX3000 hasn't been released yet.

It hasn't. Someone was selling one a couple of months ago as well. I think it is just someone anticipating getting stock and is getting people to watch for when he actually DOES get the remote.
Not my idea of honesty in marketing.
