As far as what would I have done? Not gone to war and
lost the lives of 3000+ American's for no good reason.

I have to say, I'm offended by this comment. I'd like to call you a F'ing pussy but will refrain. With your attitude, our kids would all be forced to read the Koran in school by now.

And YES, we damn well DID invent,
exaggerate and LIE to start this war. There was 0 interest
in the truth. They decided to interpret the evidence
to suit there desires, plain and simple.

Please define "we" and "they." This was not the sole doing of either side. Even Hillary voted for it based on the information at the time. All we can expectfrom our Government it to make good decisions at the time based on the best information at the time. It's not fair to re evaluate after the events unfold. Make a decision and live with it.

Loss of lives sucks. A good friend of mines girlfriends brother was killed this weekend, so yes it does hit home. That doesn't mean it's wrong. A friend of mine was killed in Beruit in the 80's. While it's tragic that soldiers die, it's never for nothing or "no good reason."

When you get up in the morning, kiss your wife. Kiss your kids. The defnders of freedom allow you that right. Without their sacrifice over the years, that may have not been possible.

As many of you know, I was a trader in NY back in the mid 90's. I became close friends with a couple about 20 older than I. They treated me like their son. On September 11th, 2001, she was killed. For what? For some lunatics to spread their hatered of America, sponsored by Iraq, Afganastan, Syria and others. We ended up watching a bunch of idiots on Saddam's payroll march around clamouring we can't find anything. What a joke.

The entire situation is unfortunate. We have a large part of these countries wanting to be like us. They want to go about their daily lives, watch their kids grow up and play. They unfortunately, have a large group amonst them, wanting to derail that very concept. Are we to turn a blind eye? Should we have turned a blind eye in the 40's while Hitler attempted to exterminate the jews while many in the world said to ignore it?

I, my friends, will og hang myflag and be proud to be an American. I'll continue to be proud and support those who are the few with balls big enough to defend the world from nut cases. To you naysayers, pull your head from the sand and wake up. The do nothing approach won't work.

For the life of me I don't understand why we gave up on Osama and went after Saddam. The link between Al Queda and Saddam were pretty minimal at best.

We haven't given up. He's in Pakistan and we can't go violating another country's sovereignty.

I haven't heard anyone in the administration claim otherwise, especially regarding 911.

As far as the elder Bush stopping short, he didn't have permission from the UN.

How about the chemical plat guised as a hospital located in Iraq? They were producing VX gas. Phone calls from Iraq's chemical weapons guy and the plant manager. The plant manager lived in a home owned by Bin Laden. It may be highly suggestive circumstantial evidence but.

Clinton destroyed the plant and when GW, the Governor of Texas was asked about it he said, "I think you give the commander in chief the benefit of the doubt," "This is a foreign policy matter. I'm confident he's working on the best intelligence available, and I hope it's successful."

WOW!! He supported the Commander in Chief and states doing the best while working with the best intelligence available.

Why doesn't GW get the same in return?

And Joe Lieberman, the Connecticut Democrat and presidential candidate, discussed the connections in an appearance last week on MSNBC's "Hardball with Chris Matthews." Said Lieberman: "I want to be real clear about the connection with terrorists. I've seen a lot of evidence on this. There are extensive contacts between Saddam Hussein's government and al Qaeda and other terrorist groups. I never could reach the conclusion that [Saddam] was part of September 11. Don't get me wrong about that. But there was so much smoke there that it made me worry. And you know, some people say with a great facility, al Qaeda and Saddam could never get together. He is secular and they're theological. But there's something that tied them together. It's their hatred of us."

Plenty of ties. Maybe not between Saddam and 9/11 though

Don't get me wrong, I know the world is a better place without Sadda. And you have to ofensive in fighting terror. But it just does not look like things are getting better. I watch both CNN and FOX pretty regularly (Beck & o'Reily) so I know as little a one could.

It's have been almost 900 years since the world had a good holy war. And history repeats itself...

Well don't worry, personally I'm a little offended by having lost 3000+ American lives in this bullsh*t war. But I get it, if we didn't attack Iraq all our kids would be reading the Koran in school. How can I argue with that type of reasoning. So who should we attack next? Come on, let's kick some ass.

Seriously, my dream is the other way around.....

Nothing beats earning an honest living. I loved what I did but had a hard time dealing with the concept that I really did nothing. I created nothing. I built nothing. I added no value to the economy. I mearly shuffled some numbers around. There was very little to measure my success with other than a P&L run at the end of the day.

Don't get me wrong. I learned alot about how the market works. My trading skills are still reasonably sharp. I don't miss the fast life. I don't trade much now but still watch with much less intesity.

Chad.

Ain't no grass on the other side of the fence either.

I'd say I'm f*cking speechless but I'm not. Human beings seem to have an infinite capacity to delude themselves. To say that the administration did not claim otherwise is mind boggling. They embarked on a major effort to suggest to the American people that Iraq was/may have been tied to 9/11. If you are going to support the war fine. But for God's sake can't you be truthful with yourself about what occurred?

From my research it seems that, there is a link between Iraq, Iran, Al Qaeda, Sudan, Afganistan. Add a little money to the mix and bring in France, China, Russia. There may not be a link between Iraq and 9/11 but that doesn't exonerate them from being threats to the world.

In my mind, we have several countries, that may not love each other but have a common theme amongst them. Hate America. Is it wise to allow them to freely collaborate against us? It's documented that Irag, Al Qaeda, Sudan worked together making nerve agents in the late 90's.

I can be truthful about this. They hate us. They hate the fact QQQ, that your wife can tell you to shut the f up when you need it. Or the fact, that your kids can get a good nite sleep. Or grow up to persue the American dream. That's the reality of all this.

Was every other War we fought for nothing to? We have a lot more to lose now than we ever did. The ability for mass destruction is also exponentially higher than ever in history.

At the end of the day, we're all on the same team. Hopefully, with the same goals in mind.
