stan. you dont speak for me and my country.

i love america.... no place better on this earth. and
i'm not ashamed of that either....

We have a great country not ashamed of that... I am pretty disturbed with the way it's been run the last few years & it's not a Democrat vs. Republican thing with me... it's just that we shouldn't be letting our kids young asses get blown away in a meaningless war.

stan.

i just have to ignore you on this one..... i could not
disagree with you more.

iraq we should have nuked the whole middle east 9/12/01
and this would be a moot point.

That was my first knee jerk reaction also. But that wouldn't have helped anything, and hopefully nuclear warfare will never be used by ANYONE.

i dont like GW because he is a pussy. he's not tough enough
for me and my liking.

hows that!

Well ya know, it's not that I don't like GW as a person, I just think he's making a lot of bad moves. I think he truely believes he is doing the right thing, and is sticking to it, which I have to admire -- but I think he is getting bad information and direction from others. He just wants to protect us which is great... and he thinks he can "wipe out terrorism" I just think he is adding gasoline to the fire though... I sure as hell wouldn't want to be in his shoes, and I felt really sorry for him right when 911 happened. He inherited a horrible situation. He's just been trying to do his best, and I'm not sure anybody really has a good answer for it... (except maybe Thon!!!)... ;>)

The best thing that ever happened to Bush was 9/11. Well that and being born into a family that made a fortune dealing with the Nazi's under the table before and possibly during WWII.

I'm glad you asked. I do. I am as frustrated with the war as anyone, but I hate your assertion that it is all Bush's fault. He had the overwhelming support of congress and some 17 UN resolutions to back him up. Most of Congress still supports the action, even democrats. Iraq posed a serious threat. If you will remember we had recently fought one war with them when this happened. Al Quaida is being engaged in Iraq and slowly exterminated. Yes, I think the cost in dollars and lives is worth it, if it prevents another 9/11 type event. All the education and social security and carbon credits you could buy with the money wouldn't mean a thing if we were to continue to be subject to terrorist activity. And yes, if I was young enough and in the service I would go. I'm sorry for your losses in the war. I don't know anyone personally that died in Iraq, but I had friends that died in 9/11 and I want every Al Qaida MF hunted down and killed. BTW "Mission accomplished" referred to ousting Saddam not winning the war.

The hell they weren't, not that that was the reason anyway. I don't give a damn what your opinion of the war is, but at least get your facts straight. I'm sure you and Q and everyone else on your side considers themselves military and foreign policy geniuses, well I'm here to tell you you're not. My dad worked in the Pentagon and he IS a military and foreign policy genious. This situation is much more complex than any of you arm chair strategists can possibly imagine. So get off the Rosie O'Donell bandwagon, shut your mouth, and quit embarassing yourselves.

thon,

you missed my point, i could not agree with you more.

my point was the terrorist are in every country so the idiots that say they were not in iraq are wrong, dead wrong.

i know things in iraq and the middle east are not at face value, there is sssooooooo much more. i frankly dont care what is involved as long as we win. america needs to kick ass and take names or we will be the victims of terror forever and ever.

and as for rosie she is a fat ignorant slob of a lady that needs to shut her fat trap.

Turn on the news --Turn off red-neck, chrisitan right
wing programming, read a newspaper. It's not rocket science.
Maybe you could fly down to Iraq and walk the streets...
visit with some of the people ask THEM how it's going
for them now?

What News do I turn on? CNN? Fox? Pick what side you are on and there is a news paper, or TV station that is definatly "slanted" towards your point of view.

And unless you have been over there YOUR SELF do not ask other people to. And for the record, I have done some tours in the middle east and in Africa, and have 12 friends over there RIGHT NOW and if you ask the honest people darn right they are happy. The people that WERE in power that now have to WORK for a living....they are pissed.

So you fully support our being in IRAQ? Why? What good
has it done? What good is it doing? Would you send a son
or daughter there to be a sitting duck?
OK that's fine if you are for that. If you think BUSH
is winning the war on Terrorism vs. fanning the flames
of terrorism.

Sitting duck? we shoot back you know? At least the Marines sure as hell do. IED that is another story. You have hit the VERY nerve of TODAYS Current generation. Why this? Why That? I want it now! You mean it is going to cost me something!

Roll back the clock for a second. How about lets take a look at the "greatest generation".

Going with todays mentality of oh my god we are still at war after ___ years!

Do you think for one second that D-Day would be able to be done today? Heck no! How about Iwo? some 6000 Marines killed or wounded in the first 2 days! Why are we fighting over Iwo Jima? That is such a waste of time! That is what todays generation would say.

The facts are quite the contrary..... we just....... we lack the courage of our own convictions. We get mad as hell on 9/11. Pointed fingers at the Gov for NOT protecting us. So we go after every one of those punks, and it is COSTING us something and people are pissed.

That is what I want. Take off the kid gloves and start shooting. Sorry guys.... I guess it is in my blood. Marines are trained to FIGHT and win the nations battles. Not baby sit. Now if it has to be blown up and destroyed over night we are the branch to call! LOL.

and as for rosie she is a fat ignorant slob of a lady
that needs to shut her fat trap.

agreed. What makes me sick is myself and the thousands of men and women in uniform fight for her very right to be ignorant slob, that can run her trap. Oh well..... that same right gets to be applied to us!

So SHUT UP Rossie! hahaha
