This is probably best posted in another forum but to answer your question my remote is a Sony RM-AV2500 with a back lit touch screen. Got it off ebay about 2 years ago but still use that stack of oem remotes. My soninlaw paid a geek from best buy to come over and program his for $60. That would be cheap enough but my home theater is a mix-n-match assembly and I'm not too sure if everything is hooked up right (even tho it sounds great) so that would have to be looked at, too. Maybe if I take a nap before I try it again I may be able to stay with it and finish it in one evening. I'll be sure to share any problems I may have with it right here. Thanks again!

How about spending $5.00 at radio shack and making
your own?

How about pin connection diagram for Fujitsu Lifebook S7110 mini jack? ;-) Seriously, I'll appreciate very much any info on this subject.
Thanks.

It seems these 3.5mm ports on dvd players are quite popular considering the fact the cables are ridiculous to find.

I just bought a portable dvd player with what looks like the same port (and no s-video cable included...) from wal-mart (durabrand/lennox model PDV-705) [Link: walmart.com] and looked all over.

I found an online source for $7.95 it looked like, but when i called them they told me that they no longer make or carry that item. the item number was ISV-350 at [Link: initialdvd.com] - they make a dvd player with the same type of port and THEY dont even carry the cable.

This seems rather ridiculous in the extreme, it makes no sense at all to me why companies are making something 'standard' that is not usable.

I agree..I already figured out how to do that but I didn't
like the idea of 4 plug-in connections in one cable run.
Plus the better cables and adapters aren't cheap anymore
either. I did find the Fujitsu mini cable on another
site for $26...shipped. From Ohio. I don't think I could
have made my own for that.

Hey, where did you find it for $26?!
Do you have a link? I've only found the Fujitsu cable in Australia!
Sorta pricey to ship that to Pittsburgh.

Thanks in advance.

Maybe you could try making your own like this one:
[Link: support.fujitsu-siemens.com]
I don't know if it will work on S7110.
Please report results if you try it.
