It seems these 3.5mm ports on dvd players are quite popular considering the fact the cables are ridiculous to find.

I just bought a portable dvd player with what looks like the same port (and no s-video cable included...) from wal-mart (durabrand/lennox model PDV-705) [Link: walmart.com] and looked all over.

I found an online source for $7.95 it looked like, but when i called them they told me that they no longer make or carry that item. the item number was ISV-350 at [Link: initialdvd.com] - they make a dvd player with the same type of port and THEY dont even carry the cable.

This seems rather ridiculous in the extreme, it makes no sense at all to me why companies are making something 'standard' that is not usable.
