This is not the thread to be reading when I missed lunch again. Damn. I pulled up to a project this afternoon and the guys were just getting up from the late lunch truck at around 3 and it just hit me how freaking hungry I really was. Now I am home reading about what I am going back out to get for lunch, or um dinner.
When good enough is not good enough.

I don't know if it is because I am from Chicago or not but you would have to pay for my sub for me to step foot into a Subway or Quiznos. We have so many good choices that giving up $38 to fill myself up at Quiznos seems crazy. If I have to eat at a franchise I will take Jimmy Johns Vito sub everytime. Somehow, this thread about subs has me craving a hot dog - time to go to Gene & Judes on Monday.
with all do respect... i had no idea that you had an experimental surgery to have your balls removed.

Mike, there's a new and clean Gold Coast Dog at Mannheim & Touhy in Rosemont that is within the acceptable range for lunchtime runs...

Let me know when you are in the area and we can shoot over there for lunch.

Italian U-Boat was the best. I think the last surviving
one was on North Ave. in Villa Park. Another vestige
of a bygone age.

Makes me tear up a little. The one on North Ave was the one I used to visit all the time. A 45 minute drive, but man was it worth it. Last time I went there I ate their biggest Itailan sub and got sick from over eating. Well worth it though.
Gunga.....Gunga....GU-Lunga

And since Ernie won't keep count, I will. Hes up to 249, and counting.

Now we're getting into thread creep. You guys were talking about subs not hot dogs!
Chicago has to have the best hot dogs in the world. I guess Germanys bratwurst doesn't count.
