Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

Don't think so. We are few and far between here in MI, don't really know anybody elsewhere.

As for the questions of how many streams versions can handel.

7 for the expenisve units and 20 for the "sell you kids" expensive units!

You could use a PC based solution like DVDLobby. This software movie cataloguing and launch application supports RS232 Sony CX777ES changers, IR changers, and hard drive based movies fluently. With the best looking user interface in the business. Will be displayed at EHX booth 1741 in Orlando end of this month.

Escients new DVDM-552 supports two indepent movie zones. Again, not as fantastic as a harddrive based system, but not as spendy either.

Ed, its been kind of cool to follow your posts from pre Xperienet days asking about it to now selling it in 5 seconds flat. For what its worth, we are now Kaleidescape dealers and I have literally never seen anything as cool as it in this industry. Takes a certain level client for sure, but those clients buy it in a heartbeat after seeing it.

Smoothtlk, I will put the Kaleidescape/Crestron touchpanel interface up against your dvdlobby and MS Media Center control any day of the week. There is nothing in the industry as slick as the KScape and its touchpanel interface.

FWIW - Kscape is expandable to unlimited storage and 32 separate streams over cat5 network.

Interact-TV.

Haven't used them but thinking about it. 1 Terabyte for DVD storage, Photo's, Music, PVR, TV guide, Surf the web.... the lot. Less than $2K.

Transfer between central unit and others, swap files with PC or MAC. Linux based. Firefox web browser built in.

I really don't know enough to say whether or not the interface and custom abilities are good but it sure seems to be. Anyone used them or have any feedback?

Julie you know anything about them?
