Ugliest thing I've ever seen!
I'd rather get up to change the channel, volume, etc. than have that on MY coffe table!

I wonder if it will packaged in an indestructable 'hook and hang' package like the cables?

Looks like they were trying to copy a Denon remote.

With the terms "lifestyle" and "Monster" so hotly contested, it's quite apparent what's driving these organizations: image and brand. They really don't care if their remote is that good or cutting edge, they just want their name out there on some devices to make some cash.

From that perspective, it's a great remote.

I wonder if it's compatible with a Bose Lifestyle system?

The same one you use on IP, right?

Harman/Kardon has also gotten into the race with

Looks a lot like the Harmony 880?

The funny thing about the Monster remote is that site says it is $499. I just got a flyer today from a disty and they say MSRP is $299?
Just my opinion, I could be wrong.

HK TC30 is definitely a variation on the 880 theme. Button layout on the bottom might be considered nicer on the Harman...

Flip one over, says it's made by harmony.

The remote industry has become like a lot of other industries (e.g.there's only about 10 companies in North America that actually make automotive batteries, but there about a 100 different companies that sell them all with different packaging).

Monster's packaging appears to be a little less desirable than most other packages. Kind of like the older Saabs, ugly to look at, but a nice driving vehicle (not that I'm saying the Monster remote is an easy/intuative remote to us, because I've never used one).

IMHO, the tech ugly/busy look will repel most women. It's got that you have to read the manual before using it look. Not the most elegant looking remote.

That picture reminds me that there were a lot of extremely rich hair products distributors in the 80's...

I think that the Harman Kardon has the best looking layout of all of the Harmony OE products so far.

The Harman TC 30 appears to be a hybrid of the Harmony 880 and the Harmony 520. How many more variations of this theme are out there now or on the way?

Its a shame they ran out of budget for separate On/Off Hard keys....

Yes, I know the remote "Tracks States" But haveing stepare on/off buttons takes a LOT of the opps factor out. Not to mewntion the amount of delay involved in LCD and DLP Displays.
