I would pass on this just because of the industrial design.

I don't know anything about it, but that is one ugly remote.

And since Ernie won't keep count, I will. Hes up to 249, and counting.

Oh My...

They either spent a whole lot of money on industrial design... by some horribly bad designers, or they spent absolutely nothing.

It looks like you might cut yourself or put an eye out with the thing!

just tell you clients to put a paper bag over it before they use it.

i'm sure in the dark, it feels just like a well designed remote.

The most obvious missing or hard to distinguish thing is a menu cursor... unless the select button acts as a joystick. I'm not too keen if the transport buttons are supposed to give me up, down, left, and right on some different "Page".

That and the fact that its kinda fugly.

IS, not kinda! That thing has absolutely no appeal at all.
Why all the fighting and cussing? Can't Dave play nice? We're just here to learn and have fun. It was a harmless jab, laugh and get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
BTW... S-E-A-R-C-H!!!

Boy- you'd think that Monster would spend some money on ergonomics. All the buttons are the same size and shape- kind of takes away the benefits of a hard-button remote.

ch+- and vol+- are positioned horizontally. The price tag is pretty steep, which is good, people will start to get used to the idea that remotes arent just toys and last minute additions to a system.

I'm not trying to be a dick, but what innovations is this thing making?

Besides replacing a Star Trek geeks blaster gun remote?

What they DON't mention, is you HAVE to buy a special Nitrogen-free Litz -Wire Quad-Shielded with special Stress Relief, Gold plated Oxygen-Free, fully patented, Ultra Hi-Speed Digital Remote to Computer Hook-Up Cable for Downloading off the Internet...$399.00. Oh... and it has SCART connectors... Optional extended warranty available..$299.00
I'm not trying to be a dick, but what innovations
is this thing making?

Another innovative way to provide $piffs to BBox salespeople.

Reminds me of the Origional MEMOREX programmable remote... Any dinasours out there remember that remote?!?!? I think that was the first remote with Macro capability!

It's a Harmony, I got that straight from the Harmony trainer a few weeks ago.

I didn't catch which of the Harmony's the Monster unit is based on, but it's not the top model...
