1st: Can I use file created for other remotes on my Marantz RC5200? Which other remotes?
2nd: Does RF controls work or only IR?
I am trying to get up and working fast and want to download files for my system.
System:
Projector: Marantz VP-12S2
TV: Dish network HDTV receiver 6000 model.
Receiver: Marantz SR-14EX
Playstation 2
DVD: Sony DVP-NC655P
VCR: TBD
Lights: TBD any suggestions

FLF: you might be better off asking these questions in the Pronto forum
1) yes, any CCF file will work with your 5200 obviously if it contains features not available on your remote, they would not work (i.e. color images will be turned into B&W, beeps will be removed....)
2) not sure what you are asking. but the way that RF works on a 5200 is that it transmit the code to its RF base, and then the RF base transmits the equivalent IR code to your device.

And the RF base is optional equipment (only comes standard with the 9200). As Anthony said, it won't control equipment directly. Jim L

Jim, forgot it was optional on the 5200 and only came with the 9200
