We are trying to set up the vlan scanning in the ovrc pro hub so that we can bring in our just add power devices for monitoring. We are using a Mikrotik router. We have a static route in the router and we can ping all the just add power devices on the network via a command line. The just add power devices are on subnet 172.16.0.0/16. When we add 172.16.0.199 with a subnet of 255.255.0.0 in the hub it scans all the ip addresses, but it does not find any just add power devices. It says we need to have the hub connected to a trunk port on the router or switch, but we can ping all subnets via command line from any port with no issue.
If anyone has been able to scan across subnets on the hub using a Mikrotik router please let us know how you did it.
Thanks.

you need to understand 802.1q to make this work and how a subnet interacts with a Virtual Local area Network.

I had one of these laying around so I took a look, the VLAN option only works with a trunk port.
When you setup the switch for JAP, all of the "control" ports are always untagged access ports so OVRC won't find anything JAP related, and if it does I'd be concerned.
Since you already have the static route, the correct way would be to add the IPs of the JAP devices manually which it doesn't look like this stupid thing can do unless I'm mistaken. So it seems you're mostly SOL
Now technically - you could tag one of those control ports with VLAN10 (JAP RX VLAN) and put the OVRC on that port. Use VLAN 10 in the settings, and set an IP that's not in use by a JAP device and you should be able to see all of your RX.
You won't be able to do this with the TX - as those will sending multicast video.
If none of that makes sense I suggest ignoring that option

What switch are you using? If it’s managed, that’s probably the problem. Set the port to be a trunk port and call it a day.
Your able to ping JAP devices from the Tik because your logged into the Tik.
