So we are now suppose to receive payments at the middle of the month and at the beginning of the month until they get caught up. I received a deposit on 10/15 (like everyone else, this was the first one since the end of July) but I have yet to receive the payment that should have came at the first of this month. It is now the 7th. Portal continues to fail to deliver on promises of payments. I am losing all faith in this product and company.

You're actually complaining about free money..... what is wrong with you?

Portal does not save us time on ordering. It actually adds several steps to the process. We have used it since they started the rewards process solely because of the rewards. This has added a significant amount of time to our processes. So no, I do not consider it free money. I consider it an unfulfilled part of the agreement.

He was sold goods that were not delivered.  Does not matter if it was "free money" or actual product.  He has a right to be upset about it.  I, myself, have not seen any deposit since before July.

Don, we have an update planned for later today for the iOS app. It took longer than we anticipated to get those updates finished.

Regarding the rewards, I'm checking and I'll DM you both.

I think I am very close to being done with Portal.

I'm under the gun to get a proposal out to a client. I create the proposal. It looks fine. I go to generate it in PDF form -- her preferred format -- and guess what? All the product detail information is missing from the document.

The Portal chat person agrees that there's a problem and offers to fix it manually. After several minutes she does, and I get ready to send it to the client, but I realize I need to add something to the proposal and I don't have the time to have Portal fix it by hand again.

This is just plain unacceptable. I'm so fed up with this. What is wrong with these people? Why can't they just get it right any longer?

you know when you have that one client that has nothing but problems with the same system you have in several (thousand) other homes, but that one clients system just doesn't work correctly until you show up and everything is fine......

Didn't Portal have SONOS as a Select partner a month or two ago added? Because it has now been removed from the Select program (at least on my login).

I remember because my distributor I get SONOS from, doesn't give me free shipping and their price kind of sucks. So there is no margin and no reason for me to sell SONOS to my customers. But when Portal announced the SONOS, there pricing was a little better and I thought came with free shipping. When working with such slim margins, that actually makes the difference between me selling the item or sending the customer to the SONOS website and picking it out themselves.

Anybody know what happened?

Brad, go direct for better pricing and free shipping with a certain level of order.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

I don't do near enough volume for that. I think this entire year I have sold 4 Connects, 2 Connect:Amps, 1 Play:5, 4 Play:1, 1 Playbar, and 2 Sub. I know I have installed 2x that many for people who got it themselves.
I have sold even less HEOS. And only 1 MusicCast (that wasn't built into an AVR).

I just don't do a lot, that are my own sales when it comes to the commodity stuff.

I reached out to them asking this same thing.. They made this big announcement, yet they are not a select member as of yet and I was told they are "planning to add them in the future". I replied - "then maybe don't do a press release announcing its support or at least tell people when it will be available."

I was really trying to give the benefit of the doubt, but we several months behind on what was promised rewards wise, the system has been glitchy, and the dual ordering just isn't worth it anymore. I was a big Portal supporter at first - but I am not ordering though them currently until I see some movement in the right direction over there.

I'm trying to be patient, but we're now several months into the "update" and the bugs are still making the site damn near unusable. I'd gladly pay $50 a month for a proposal tool that wasn't riddled with glitches and bad code.
Lord loves a workin' man; don't trust whitey; see a doctor and get rid of it.
