Josh, I hope you can appreciate just how frustrating this is.  Something that should have taken 10 minutes with your system is going on 2 hours now.

Working on building my Dtools file back up. Lost it after a hard drive failure before cloud backups were big. The backup to my nasty somehow corrupted also. That was when I started using alternatives and eventually found my way to Portal. It takes a bit of time to get Dtools setup.

Trust me, I appreciate how annoying it is. However frustrating this is for you, it's 10x more for us. We hate letting you guys down. We're going to solve it, we have thousands of dealers counting on us.

The search function just continues to get worse. Im throwing together a "quick" quote and just the basic search for very popular items is painful. If I search "sonos connect" it comes up with anything and everything BUT a sonos connect.

it has just become so irritating to use anymore that I have booted my dtools back up and have been updating it.

It is truly sad.

I agree with the search & sorting things. Also making wish lists, or favorites, or someway to save commonly ordered products in an easy place to find.

I have mentioned this in suggestions a few times but it doesn't seem to be a priority for them. I think I was told it wasn't something a lot of dealers were complaining about. That blew my mind and didn't seem right. Maybe dealers who post in forums are just smarter than the average Joe plumber. IDK.

What are the "featured results" that appear at the top of a search? Are vendors paying to be featured?

A search for "just add power" returns a bunch of Transformative Engineering products, a search for "sony bluray" returns an LG player.

If you enter Sonos Connect, it comes up on page 2 after a bunch of Sonos related 3rd party crap.  If you enter just Sonos, it comes up on the first page.  Makes perfect sense.

We have been working on improving our search logic for the past few weeks. We even brought in some outside search experts to help. Seemingly simple searches, like "Sonos Connect" turn out to be not-so-simple in practice when you have to consider the searchability of another 2M parts. That said, we just pushed an update on the weekend which improved things quite a bit, including the Sonos search. Please try it out and let us know what you think.
