MX-3000 Can't learn BOSE Cinemate SR 1

I recently upgraded to a BOSE soundbar. It's one of those audio devices that seems to be able to 'throw' sound for amazing 3D effects. Unfortunately, although BOSE sent me the Pronto hex codes for the device (there's only POWER, Vol. UP, Vol. DOWN and MUTE), the Universal Browser doesn't let me get the codes in.

Specifically, if I paste the codes into the hex panel and drag them to the desired button, everything looks OK. I get the right names, and the little 'L' , etc. But when I test the code --- nothing happens. I've tried to do this many times and they all appear OK, but do not activate the device. Looking at the IR emitter on the MX-3000 through a camera, it looks like no code is emitted, although for other codes for other devices I can clearly see the signal.

As a last resort, I've tried just learning the codes as I've done successfully for many other devices before. Again, it looks OK and the controller says the codes were accepted ("GOOD") but they do nothing.

Has anyone else experienced this kind of problem. I'm hoping I can get some troubleshooting hints that I haven't tried yet.
I love the sound of bagpipes when I'm mourning.

No rf base station?
IR from the remote?

Check the RF settings and make sure the Bose soundbar codes are set to IR.

That is,as long as you added a Bose soundbar device, dragged the codes to it,and then used those codes in a macro (or copy and paste) to the desired buttons.

post the codes that bose sent you, it may just be a case of them being in the wrong format.  urc looks for pronto hex, and most manufacturers don't supply codes in that form, but they can be converted using software.

Guess the Bose can’t be trained to respond to different manufacturer’s TV Vol+/Vol- codes like Sonos?

Oh well, hey it has a Wave Guide!

Thank you for a reasoned response. I see that many viewers figured my post was an April Fool's joke, and I should have waited a few days to post. However, I am an experienced configuration manager and felt I had a legitimate question. There is no RF involved in this configuration -- only IR.

NOTICE: I realized that the cutting and pasting to this board seem to have lost some of the codes --- except for the POWER code string. On re-editing the post I don't see anything missing. Only on the posted message do I see them. (Or don't see them, depending on how to use English in this case.)

You've got to admit it's a great April Fools' post!

Ain't language wonderful?

And of course you don't see anything missing. That's because it's missing. I wonder how long it will take AI to learn how to handle this!

Now, seriously:
NOTICE: I realized that the cutting and pasting to this board seem to have omitted some of the codes --- only the POWER code string came through intact. On re-editing the post I see all the original stuff.

My approach there was to remove the negatives, since each negative complicates each expression. That doesn't don't not never fail.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Yeah, language is wonderful. So is bandwidth and attitude. I hope someone, other than Duct Tape, will respond to the original post. My prose is probably terrible, but I thought this forum was intended to deal with controller issues. I'll try to find assistance elsewhere, and I thank you all for your positive contributions.

Sorry. I guess I missed the point of this forum. The problem I posted was real, and I knew that URC would not help, so this seemed appropriate. I'll check back from time to time and try to find some 'skin thickener' at Walmart.

It helps if you can be ready to enjoy a good laugh, even if it's from sarcasm, while you're here. I mean, stay awake because you never know what might happen!
