NOTICE: I realized that the cutting and pasting to this board seem to have omitted some of the codes --- only the POWER code string came through intact. On re-editing the post I see all the original stuff.
My approach there was to remove the negatives, since each negative complicates each expression. That doesn't don't not never fail.
