Should be solution orientated. You're assuming that the customer knows what a managed network is.

Wifi Sucks - click here
Sound at the pool - here
Tired of looking at wires hanging on your wall

Front page should be something I want to buy.
Instead it's do we even want you as a client, and some dude looking in a mirror. (yeah I know it's a guy hanging a TV, does the user?)

That's good input...Thanks..I'll monitor it through Analytics and we can make changes if we see they're bouncing away from some of the services.

regarding the pic, it's difficult, and I struggled with this quite a bit...in the end, I went with that pic, because it IS what they're selling...They're selling the installation and experience, not just the product..I felt like a customer might get confused if they only saw a product, and that it was $100 more than MSRP, it would throw them off..

But good points.. I'd like to hear other input on the homepage pic..maybe we'll change it..

So, if you were selling the install/experience...What would you put in that pic?

Are the installers employees or are you using 3rd party installers like Bose and others? If the latter, keeping an installation company will be a challenge.

The "Solutions" dropdown isn't working for me using Internet Explorer, works fine with Fire Fox.

I too find the "are we in your neighborhood" thing confusing. I searched several zip codes across the United States, metro areas not BFE. No results...because I guess I consider WI to be BFE in general but I digress. My point: if the site is only visible to those in the targeted search results area then the "are we in your neighborhood" with zip code lookup is pointless...yes! We are in your area, (unknown city in) Wisconsin!

Otherwise the site is nice as usual and I do like the concept for that market/demographic.

Landing page main pic: I know what the guy is up to but most customers won't. A wider angle on the shot would relay the act of installation better IMO.

IMO the industry attitude is F IE. Seriously...if the site works in Firefox Chrome and Safari then it works. Don't waste your time on IE.

Apparently they are still selling Savant Smart remotes that have been discontinued and EOL'd over a year ago now.....

Interesting that "REMOTES-plus" is so out of date on their remote offering.

Or maybe they are taking a MSRP $750 package and then delivering, Installing, and Programming it for -$51?

It seems like they were gung-ho out of the gate and then it fizzled? Did the model fail? did their other primary AV business become (remain) a better model?
Sucks to see such energy and resources spent on a project only for it to sit there and rust..perhaps the opinions on here about catering to the DIY market were validated.

No, they're just busy running other businesses.  One of my busiest clients caters to the same market.  While other guys are slow, he's struggling to keep up.  The business model definitely works.  If you can make the numbers work.

It makes sense when you think about it.   What are potential customers more likely to search for?  Nest,Sonos, Ring, Alexa, etc.  or Crestron and Control4? (something they've never heard of).  I'm not making the argument that Crestron/Control4 aren't better "systems".  What I'm saying is that customers don't know how to search for them.  Because they've never heard of them, in fact I think an argument could be made that you could call an existing Control4 customer right now and ask him the name of the control system in his house and he couldn't tell you.  But they know if they have a Nest thermostat or a Sonos Playbar.

The margins are tight there's no question about that, but there's an audience out there.
