Why is getting old a disadvantage? At some point the Beatles will be issuing new material -- every day.

How often are you asked to put a cork in it? Just asking....
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I knew I was old when I realized few years ago that my father was younger than I am now when we came to the US.
People were asking him if he was scared starting new life in a new continent in his 40s -- I was a young, 15 year old at that time.

I knew I was getting old when my head gave up on growing hair, so my ears and nose took up the challenge.

There is, to be fair...
A fine line between a nice bottle of wine and a jug of vinegar.
This industry is not getting cheaper and cheaper, we're simply convincing ourselves that we have to push the cheapest option to customers.

My friend turned 60 and called his dad to moan that he was 60 years old. His dad replied, "Don't feel bad, I have a SON who is 60!"

Lord help me to grow old gracefully and not embarrass my wife and children.
There is no truth anymore. Only assertions. The internet world has no interest in truth, only vindication for preconceived assumptions.

On chemo several years ago, I experienced a few things that might come with old age.

The one that comes to mind was the moment in the shower when I was washing my hair -- me eyes were closed -- and I suddenly realized I was in the middle of falling over. I managed to catch myself.

For more than a year after that, when I closed my eyes in the shower, I stuck out my elbow to touch the wall so I'd have a reliable indication of when I was not just standing upright.

I wonder what other kinds of subtle coping methods people develop as they grow old. Older.

I didn't.

Still to this day I have no idea why I didn't break something since I went full force through a tempered glass door onto the very hard tile floor.

Wife came in and asked what she could do, I told her to throw some of those big towels over me, and I would figure something out later.

It wasn't a pretty site I'm sure...

Yesterday I did my first home expo show in about 7 years. Only a six hour show plus setup and tear down. Wow, was my back not having it! It wasn't so much moving a TV, small stand, receiver, small speakers and sub.... it was just standing in one place!!! Just killed on the back. Every half hour or so I would sit down and flip through the phone for a few minutes. Getting old sucks!

the ONLY think that sucks about getting old is what is does to the body. There is NO WAY in hell I would want to be 20 again. Out setting the world on fire, proving yourself, making your mark, building your wealth. No siree. Life is great and hard, smart work pays off. Not a chance i would take a "make me young again pill". No way.

How could I NOT want to relive my youth.....besides the fact that the odds are slim that I would survive it again .....

Every day is a good day.......some are just better than others!

I saw your post about the show on Facebook. How did it go?
