Soooo.

I have TV with no buttons on it, so I also have a big box the makes the sound go to some voicey boxes, a magic thing that makes it louder when I can't hear so good, and another small thingie that makes it all work.

It's some kind crazy neat.

If you all think everyone is so sensible and can figure out improperly used jargon, how about a waste of time? Am I the only one who thinks highfigh is wasting our time and acting as though we can't keep an idea in our head every time he quotes entire posts before supplying an answer? This entire topic is insulting; seems you'd be insulted even more by that!
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

I didn't quote the entire post- satisfied?

I'm trying to provide the context to the reply and with all of the noise that I suspect is rattling around in your head, it should help.

As far as wasting time, you really should look at your posts that blather on about grammar and usage of words when nobody else has bothered to comment on it. You must waste hundreds of hours every year with that and really, what purpose does it serve? You get to see YOUR words online in your feeble attempt at correcting the unwashed masses and thinking that you're teaching them to be better.

Good for you!

I meant "square to the World" as a substitute for 'plumb'. I thought you might have figured that out.

Perpendicular to gravity vs parallel to that f#@ked up adjacent non square wall.

Hey, lets keep this thing going....
I do a lot of work on the local Air Force Base, so in addition to people being altogether too "precise" when talking bout things they don't understand (our magic boxes that make things work...) they live in a world of acronyms, and assume that you do to.....
Double fun (frustrating) is when you finally figure out the acronym they are using is both incorrect use of leading letters, but also describing the incorrect thing! But it's their world, so you have to roll with it.

A friend (recently retired) was an architect and when he went to check on a project in the Green Bay area, he found that a 10' high wall was 8" out of plumb. He called them to have it corrected and when the crew showed up with a chain saw & sledge hammer, he fired them on the spot. My guess is that it was built the day after a Packer game.

A Bolivian kept repeating this phrase while we were in Cancun earlier this year. I have never head the phrase, but I like it!!
