Just thought I would ask. I haven't been able to even login to the site.

In NC, I read that I should see more than a 200-300% increase in my premium. This should be interesting.

When has healthcare been affordable??

When I was 24,kicked off of my parents plan and had to go get my own?? Yeah, maybe.

If your older and your not financially secure, there is no affordable option.
Bill's Electric & Home Theater & Plumbing & Automation & Small Engine Repair, and Animal Removal Services......did I mention we do remotes also?

I heard that there would be government death panels.

Until I have more than anecdotal evidence I will hold my judgement. However this was voted into law by the representatives of the people, upheld by the supreme court and campaigned upon heavily by a president who was reelected on this platform, so it seems to me the people WANT the ACA and the conservative puppets are afraid it will work.

I see what you did there-
Are you saying you will reserve judgement on Obamacare, or other peoples beliefs and convictions?
"The People" is a broad generalization that does not reflect most legal voters- Can you not have a debate without resorting to name calling?

My personal plan for my family will see a 75% increase, roughly.

Is that compared to something your employer is currently giving you, or do you pay for health ins out of pocket currently?

I have healthcare through my wife's fortune 100 company. We pay $56 a month for a family of four. Next year I think it is going to $117 a month. They self insure, so I'm not sure the increase has anything to do with ACA or not, I dont know.

I checked, just for giggles, and my price on the state exchange would be $700 for our family for the lowest option which basically only would cover a catastrophe as the family deductible was $12k.

Ed will be known as the Tiger Woods of the integration business, followed closely with the renaming of his company to "Hotties A/V". The tag line will be "We like big racks and tight holes"...

it depends on the state and your provider.

Ours has gone up considerably, 107% from last year IIRC and they said that was temporary. NJ supposidly didnt get hit that bad but ours is much much higher then most others for whatever reason.

We have aetna FWIW.

Doesnt matter healthcare is so F%$(n screwed up now that the dems got their grubby paws on it even if the conservatives were able to repeal and replace it its still screwed.

Stupid stupid stupid society. When extreme left liberal countries say that is not the way they would handle healthcare you know something is wrong.

That is because the rest of the civilized world has single payer gov run healthcare at a fraction of what we lucky Americans pay.

I am a lumberjack and live in an igloo in Canada eh.

Affordable federally run health care has worked pretty well for over 65 years.

There is however unbelievable waste money in many ways because it is government run.

I cannot for the life of me, understand those in the US want to poo poo federal health care system.

Link Fu does not compensate for argument.

England does not equal the rest of the world.

Hospital mortality rate does not equal the quality of an entire health care system. It is one component of it.

Hospital mortality rate is not a direct result of being a single payer system.

This is why we cannot have nice things.
