don't waste your time on Snapavs cctv stuff yet. they are too new to the market and they have way to much to learn. Give them a year and see if they still do it. By then they may have somthing worth using.

Would you care to dignify your post with some type of constructive criticsm other than stating they are new to the market? How about providing examples of what the product lacks or where it falls short? Otherwise you sound like somebody who is just trying to either dis-credit the company for reasons of your own, or someone who really doesn't know what they are talking about. Many of us are snap dealers that appreciate the product but more importantly appreciate the effort they make to satisfy people in our industry. Nothing wrong with a bad review, just try and back your opinion up with some information.

i agree, ive used them and can say the quality is much better then speco. They use a sony ccd and i imagine most of the guts are the same as some of the other big players. i have them on a house in full weather and my customer repeatedly tells me that the wirepath ones are better then the speco we installed earlier in the year.

I also find it strange that this is your 3rd post and your 1st day and your already bashing.

My only complaint is they don't have a universal voltage. I'm mainly complaining because we installed our typical Altronix power supply and tried powering these 12VDC cameras with 24VAC. Whoops! Had to order three new cameras. They are comparable to most cameras I've seen.

yeah i know about the voltage warning but the one thing that urks me is the ignorant joystick thing on the back of the camera. i had to make a slight adjustment to one of the settings and in doing so i had to move the lens and it took me 3x as long to get it back to exactly where it was before.

And in the case of the RS protocol it does no good when your adding a camera to an existing DVR.

Actually, all three of his posts are bashing SnapAV. I just posted in one of the other threads in response to his nonsense. He is clearly a competitor or simply a troll.

Like the 500s. Good color and low-light abilities. In our opinion, we like them better than the Hunts at a comparable price point that we used in a previous job.

Hi drewski300

You are correct, our 100 and 300 series are 12V DC only. But our 500 and 700 series are dual voltage for 12V DC and 24V AC. Thanks for your support!

Hi SignaturesSV,

Thanks for the feedback on the cameras. We agree the joystick could be located in a more accessible location. Please see my post on 9/29/2011, we are working towards a better solution for the joystick OSD control next year. Thanks for your support!

G. or Paul, or G. Paul ;-)

While I have you here I have a question. Is there any talks about releasing a 4 channel DVR? I am not sure if there is enough of a demand, but I was wondering as I get a lot of requests from small shops for a 3 or 4 cameras installs. So far I have only use a 700 series dome camera, and was very pleased with the quality. Looking forwarding to using more of the Wirepath products.

A 4 channel that fits inside a 14" wiring can would be even better.....
