Everything adds up. Once we started using D-tools to track all parts & products it became easy to see that forgetting to count compression fittings or wall plates could cost you thousands per job. I love playing with racks but i do my best to spend the part budget on things that will cut the labor bill down and vice versa.

I would love to know if heat shrink label printing can be automated (speadsheet & PC) & what it costs.

Nice work kid.
I know you're new to this forum so you have no idea just how different and positive all the comments you've got from everybody that has replied to your post. These guys have been doing this a while and have hundreds or thousands of posts here. Trust me they don't hold back, ever.
We have ran off several trunk slammers because they were ignorant and stubborn and wouldn't take advice or criticism and they didn't bring anything resembling your quality of work/knowledge to the table to begin with.
You definitely have a future in the CI world if you keep this up.
I'm glad you're nowhere near me so you're not a direct competition, just kidding.

I remember my very first rack. I boiled up a big pot of spaghetti and threw it at the back of it, at least that's what it looked like. Yours however does not look like that. Yours is clean and orderly, well done.

Looks good.

I can't tell for sure, but it doesn't look like you used any lacer bars? It looks good without them, but they do help make wire management a little easier on you.

Nice work!

Thanks Everyone

Yea I have seen some of the posts where people have been run off.

I admit when I don't know something, and I know when something is beyond my limits.

Yea unfortunately no lacer bars on this one. We didn't have rear rack rails for this rack and couldn't get them...lets just leave it at that.

I would have love to use them, but I am really happy with how it came out even with the lack of them.

Luckily the custom rack shelves for the Cable boxes and Blurays provided a great place to anchor some of the wires.

So why can't you use lacing bars? Your deepest piece is the Request and from the pic it looks like you have room. You should have clearance behind the amp as well if you lose those bulky banana plugs. Then just order an extra set of rack rails!

Also, if you are going to do thermal management you're going to have to run your cables through the knockouts so you can put the rear door on.

Aahh another thermal management myth wonder which papers freddy's been reading....

If your really picky about labels peeling off (like me), try using a small piece of clear heat shrink over top. I always get good customer feedback when I do that.

If every CI could develop this attitude, our industry would be a lot better for it.
