I hope there really is nothing to worry about because I love the digital delivery method and would love to see more competition out there. Competition leads to innovation and lower prices. Two things I am a big fan of.

BUT..... Somebody really tea-bagged the pooch on this one. Even if the 17 out of 100 best case estimates are true, if you are a startup company you DO NOT lay off nearly 1/5th of your entire staff without some sort of major P.R. announcement on all relevant outlets that everything is OK. They fact that they let this happen and allowed all this speculation to even start is insane. If your dealers and perspective dealers start to lose faith, you are hosed. Especially when the major internet providers are starting to get serious with this bandwidth cap garbage. The first any of us should have heard of this is in the official announcement from VUDU's own people that also let us know everything is OK.

If Julie had not been as dilligent as she is, we could have had pages and pages of "VUDU Is Dead!" on one of the more popular industry sites out there. Not very bright at all.

The "Digital Delivery Method"???

Is that with two or three fingers?

I bet he's never heard that line before. How much are
you paying her?

Jealousy will do nothing but bring blackness in to your heart. It will not help Charlie improve the chances of your favorite semi-professional sports franchise, no matter how much NBC is paying them to stay out of the top 25. You need to widen your horizons to include matters other than parochial prospects of potential freshmen starters. There is life, trust me, after Our Mother goes down to an other ignominious season of dastardly deeds, some would generously label football.

Is there any chance we can ever forget that?

just having a bit of fun, I just thought it sounded very familiar. Plus I can’t understand why you think the nice rep or nice people working there is any help in the discussion. We all know that nice guys/companies don’t always survive or finish first. It is the wild west and who (if any) will be around when the dust settles none of us (or them) even know.

The whole digital delivery thing is pretty interesting. I think of a cartoon I once saw of a line of fish swimming in line from a tiny minnow on up to a big huge shark... they all had their mouths open and were all ready to devour the fish directly in front of each fish... that is what comes to mind each time I look into what is going on with all of these players out there in the video streaming biz.

Hopefully VUDU is a big enough fish to hang in there, but with giants like Microsoft, Apple & Comcast out there... well, it's a real gamble.
