And who thinks porn will ever push a company like this
into profitability anyway? What was that Canadian company
called that had 3d porn again :-/

Wasn't it "InYerFace Productions"?

From Marky's profile:
Have worked for tons of large companies

I've seen this kind of statement interpreted as "can't hold a job for more than ten months." Reminds me of the Carfax ad where a T-boned car was advertised as "recent body work" but changed to "new paint job."
Any details on my major AV career feel free to ask away

A few video companies and both of them

Ah. "Tons of large companies" means "a few" which are then referred to as "both," plus one speaker company.
were server or
VOD type companies and one speaker company. Trust me bro
where I am going at this point you wont need to worry
about buying anything from me....."is that a size 10 or
11 sir hey AL grab me the brown ones on sale in size 11"

I must agree that his sense of humor is bad. Someone else thinks this makes him look like a Sears employee. To me it says KMart itself, and dreams of talking with shoe customers...the reference to Al notwithstanding.
A good answer is easier with a clear question giving the make and model of everything.

Thanks for the intel Julie.

It still makes one feel totally uncomfortable with placing an opening order with Vudu right about now.

I think I am going to sit on it a little while longer. Anyone else thinking the same thing?

I told them that if VUDU was still in business 6 months
from now I would be surprised.

That was about 4 months ago.

You will be surprised. :)

Vudu is still a hard push due to the volatility of these smaller start up companies. I love the premise and hope they get through this...

Not at all.
I agree that we may not know the whole truth but I am confident Vudu is not going anywhere. If you think about where they stand in the industry, It is highly doubtful they would shut the doors without giving in to a buy-out first.
Vudu currently holds all the major peices over the competition and if they provide what is promised for cedia they will certainly hold more than just the edge.
I dont sell the small units at all so I think allowing them into BB can only help us to market the product which I have found to be the biggest challenge.
As one of the first dealers, I have watched Vudu grow an extensive amount in a short period of time. I have also witnessed a company that listens to our channel and impliments changes to meet our needs. It's the same kind of support I am seeing from Pantel. I think these actions deserve our respect and I will support them until the end.
They have not let us down this far and we really have no reason not to trust them.

Heard back from our factory rep and the story is less grim then the OP has led us to believe. The lovely Julie is factually correct--as usual. between 10-20 individuals have lost their job, hardly something of good cheer for them, but not necessarily an indication that Vudu is on life support.

Either the OP is correct and Vudu is spinning or the OP is wayyyyyyyyyyy off base and Vudu is going to offer the feature set Julie reported and which the rep confirmed they'd be showing at CEDIA and offering shortly thereafter.

The song says it's a thin line between love and hate and one might riff on this that on the Internet it's a thin line between motivated disinformation and harmless, albeit unfortunate, exaggeration.

I don't know if Vudu is going anywhere (but Julie’s article did not give me the warm fuzzies), but weren't you saying the exact same thing about HD DVD a few months ago?

HA! LMAO!
And from that experience sir, I've learned not to be wrong again. :)

Anthony,
Is there any chance we can ever forget that?
