I am having a great deal of trouble with connecting the Pronto TSU3000 to my computer. I continue to receive a message saying that the remote is not connected.

I know the USB port is ok because I tried my digital camera in the same port and it works fine. I called Philips and they told me to reset the remote and make sure it was on, but that did not help either. I also saw the WordPad doc here that helps with the specific problem, but the file seems corrupt because I can't open it! AAAHHHHHHH! Nothing seems to help!

Any ideas? Thanks in advance for any help.

head over to the pronto forum. the TSU3000 is another fine example of Philips releasing a product before it was even ready for beta testing, let alone final production

I am in a battle right now with Philips customer service over this same problem. The problem you are having is a firmware problem. Philips knows about this and claim to be working on a fix. Nothing you can do but pull the batteries or battery pack out, wait for about 5 minutes, reinstall the batteries and try again. I have had rare successes with this technique, 1 in 15 tries. Also, if this does help you, you will only get about 3-5 up/downloads before the remote craps out again. Forget even trying to learn the IR through the remote onto PENG. Good to see ALPHA testing being done on the general public. I have been waiting a week now, to no avail, for an answer from philips. I am trying to get all of the 3000's I have in the field replaced with 2000's or 6000's while they are still available.

TSU2000's are still available?????? I have been sending back TSU2000s with the dreaded melted charger/remote problem and have been recieving TSU3000s. We will not use 3000s as they are a POS but if I could trade all of our 3000s in for 2000s I would be a happy camper.
