So what you're saying is you never drive? :-D I'll have you know, I drive plenty. Just not after 5:30pm. Or before 8:00am. Or weekends. Or holidays. Or sometimes after 3:30. But between 11:30 and 2:00 Monday through Friday's, no holidays, I'm fine to drive. I'm driving right now

Had Jeremy Burkhardt by the shop today. We are going to build 2 complete ORIGIN Acoustics architectural audio demo rooms. One will be Dolby Atmos & the other with their new in-wall / in ceiling line-up. Pretty excited. I hadn't spoken with him since the 1st CEDIA get together 20 years ago! Nice guy, he has mellowed a bit to over the years. Great looking new line-up. This will be a fun project.

2 sound rooms just for origin? I'm thinking the roommate stories are more believable.

We are going to totally re-do it with Origin speakers. We also have a theater which will have a full Origin Dolby Atmos system --- not that hard to imagine. It IS our business after all. Maybe you don't have a showroom, but we are a brick and mortar business that has been around since 1972. We HAVE to make the investment and upgrade our facility from time to time. Put away the booze, and maybe it'll make sense to you. I'm just about done with this site, due to the stupidity and negativity of some of you.

Hoping to hear your review of the line, can't really explain why I'm put off by the 'edgy' personna. Just another preconceived notion that's crept into my life over the years. Kind of like thinking casual bicyclists and pedestrians are DUI offenders, but hey- I'm working on that.
Don't take the low road, you're an icon here who's always made the most interesting points- albeit at the expense of digression over politics, religion, sex, and grammar. I personally appreciate your experience and overall knowledge of the industry and hope we can continue to have you in our RC lives.

Kind of like thinking casual bicyclists and pedestrians are DUI offenders, but hey- I'm working on that. I was one of the first Speakercraft dealers in Seattle about 20 years ago. Good stuff overall, except their electronics had some issues (overheating). The company always backed sus up on speaker replacements / warranty etc. IMO, the company got a little too big, but Jeremy was gone by then). Yesterday was the first time I really had the opportunity for a one on one with him. We shared a few good laughs, and old war-stories, all in all a nice afternoon. I sure did not sense any edgy persona yesterday (although just from how is portrayed in the consumer electronics media, I was expecting a loud, brash guy) ... He was totally laid back, humble, helpful, professional, candid and down to earth. I really enjoyed chatting. I'd love to pound a few beers with him one day. He is that sort of fellow. His new speaker line LOOKS excellent, and although I havent really heard them, based on his previous products, and learning about the technical upgrades, I'm sure they are more than fine. Don't take the low road, you're an icon here who's always made the most interesting points- albeit at the expense of digression over politics, religion, sex, and grammar. I personally appreciate your experience and overall knowledge of the industry and hope we can continue to have you in our RC lives. Yeah, I know--- but I get really tired of a couple of guys here, who try and call BS on EVERYTHING I have to say or do. I'll kick it back in their faces... I appreciate the comment. And I always loved coming here to BS and share stuff at the end of the day - whether it was related to technical stuff, or to shoot the sh*t about what is going on in the world... kind of like elbowing up to the bar and visiting with the regular bar-flies. That IS what the CI lounge was about, at least by it's description. Sure I go overboard on my political stuff... I've toned that down and still get personally attacked (yes I get a few RC mails from a few of the usual suspects - schoolyard bullies)... so I will respond to them in kind. (enough of that) 8>) That being said, I have made quite a few friends here over the years, but there are a couple good ol' boys, who have major chips on their shoulders... And yes, I have in private told a few of them to "go F themselves". There Fins, I beat you to it! 8>/ Back to ORIGIN, I will let you know how they sound. They are certainly simple looking to install... (No having to hold a heavy drill motor in one hand, and the speaker in the other atop a ladder!) ---Tooless installation, same goes for removal. ORIGIN reminds me of the early S-Craft days... namely a company that wants to support us in the trenches, make us some $$$ and offer innovative products.
